"Samadhi" in general is a memorial for a noble soul where ashes of the deceased are buried....this is common for Leaders and Dharam Gurus. There is another type of 'Samadhi' which where the body of the Yogi or Sadhu who has attained "Mahasamadhi" (aka- state of death) through meditation, is buried...this is rare, common between Hindus and Buddhists.
