This boy was born in 1988. WOW! The legend of Brad and Sublime lives on! Only the great bands have kids that were born while the band was already going strong singing their music and emulating the great singers. If Brad were still alive this kid would only have a tribute band or at best start a band that was a "new" Sublime; unfortunately Brad passed and this kid is left carrying the torch. But as far as substitutes go Rome is doing a good job.

gotta say the kid grows on you the more you listen. brad isn't coming back, and bud on drams and eric on bass is worth the price of admission, so having someone with a good voice that can play is a bonus.

Rome does a good job. Technically he hits everything about as sound as you could. For some reason though, its like he can't put the right energy behind it. Bradley's presence gave something that could reach out to a crowd, a person listening to a recording or even a youtube video. With Rome you just don't feel that energy. and its sad because he does a perfect job in every other way, but he just doesn't have that stage energy that Brad had. Perhaps it was because Brad was singing from his own heart and experience, perhaps that's impossible to match.

I feel the exact same way... He's not awful. Some people take the Rome hate too far. Rome is Rome, it's not fair to compare him to Brad (who indeed is not coming back, it is what it is). He is adequate, he just lacks that soul that Brad had in spades.

@louievega13 If you watch the "Stories, Tales, Lies and Exagerrations DVD, they talk about how Brad was just a mess and would come out shitfced and rapping NWA lyrics during songs. I don't think I have evr seen a live performance where he didn't fuck up. It was a mix between the booze, drugs, and his emotions all on stage. But it was beautiful at the same time.
