Interesting build, I’ll have to do more labbing with Umi since I see numerous builds out there, 3 reasonings in one build, another with all the floodgates, and then the non pure variants. I also ran Giga Gagagigo in mine for fodder to summon with either sonar or legendary ocean when Kairyu Shin wasn’t available alongside Sea Stealth Attack to prevent destruction of said Umi cards. Otherwise I couldn’t get Morganite to work for me due to bricking with the deck….

Any special reason for having Kashtira Arise-Heart on your Extra Deck?

In very rare circumstances, if you are going against a kash player, and their shangri ira activated it's effect on your turn, you can summon kashtira ogre, and go straight into arise heart. I have only done it 3 or 4 times though haha.

horus quit prematurely. Those hards are a hard counter to umi control deck. In particular thier spell that protects them from being destroyed by non targeting effects. Makes Sea stealth useless against horus monsters

Although maybe they didn't want to sit in a duel that could last for 20 turns. Sea stealth is also a counter to Horus since if you banish to protect your monsters, you can keep a cycle of Kairyu- Shins in play and send there board every end phase.

@@DisappearBlade since one of the horus monsters is water and most run couple copies they are able to keep out 2 horus monsters minimum if not more. So they will slowly kill you even with kairyu-shin bouncing back. Mega fortress whale can help attack them directly but its usally a losing battle.

@@AIM4Beats248 yeah I get it. It's just happened to me before. They Evenly Matched away my water one in my Ogdoadic deck, and really I lost then and there, but toughed it out to a loss. Once they had two Ocean Dragon Lords in rotation it was simply a matter of time.
