This deck is at the top of my list of decks I need to build. I'm a huge fan of the Legendary Ocean control and Levia-Dragon Deadalus decks from late DM/Early GX and I'm so happy the kept making more Umi related support. Also, funnily, I've just been introducing a friend to the anime for the first time. This video actually dropped as soon as we started the Mako episode.

These cards will soon come to master duel. Thank you for the update of the deck. I am not a fan of water monster strategies, but Kairyu Shin is an exception. Awesome monster effect and card design to stop almost all of the current meta stuff. Great deck, thank you : )

This deck hits me right in the feels. I am play a version of this on Master Duel now. I love water decks, it's the deck type I played YEARS ago to win my first locals. And by years I mean Tribe Infecting Virus was still legal lol

Like I already commented on the last Kairyu-shin video, you can also play Icejade Tremora in this deck as it can special summon a water monster from your hand by discarding itself! You can summon your Kairyu-shin like this if you have no umi on your field

I tried that out and ended up just liking the jellyfish more because it can send legendary ocean then summon Kairyu-Shin then Kairyu-Shin can search sea stealth attack which can get the legendary ocean back.

@@DarkArmedDuelist normally when playing tremora in umi it's a 1 of which can be searched with foolish goods ice barrier Its not a replacement for jellyfish but something to be used with it lol in case jellyfish gets impermed or you dont draw jellyfish

@DarkArmedDuelist what do you think of metal reflect slime? hes a level 10 water trap/monster he can be protected by sea stealth attack so hes a 3000k wall that cant be destroyed by card effects plus if its your turn and umi isnt on the field then you can tribute it for Egyptian god slime 😁

As these cards have been added to master duel, they also added the new retrain of maiden of the Aqua which is Yorishiro of the aqua. How could that be added in this deck, as it’s a really good card that can special summon any water from grave if umi is on the field and can add umi from grave to hand by banishing itself from grave

Blackwings are a great swarm deck that can really take on the meta depending on the match up.

Well there's a lot of decks that can swarm the field : Adamancipator,Sylvan, Rikka, Flower Cardians, @Ignister, Pendulum Magician, Endymion, Beetropeer, Madolche, Synchron, Deskbots,HERO,Galaxy/Photon, Six Samurai, Yang Zing,Magical Musket, Dragunity, Dinosaurs, Danger Dark world,Raidraptors , Phantom Knights , Dragon Link, Atlantean Mermail, Rokkets,Fur Hire,The Weather, Infernity,Lyrilusc, Generaider (their field spell fill the board),Resonator,Karakuri,D/D/D, Megalith, Gishki, Prank-kids, Lunalight Danger, Blackwings,noble knights, Kozmo, Virtual world, Mekk Knight, Sharks, Super quantum, Abyss Actor, Harpies,Fluffal, Dragonmaid and probably more decks You should just check their playstyle and see what you like more, you can probably make them strong by running correct cards and making good use of your extra deck, the only thing is that some of them may be unable to handle hand traps, which can completely ruin your plays depending on your deck and start hand, there's a lot of decks that can even surpass meta deck end boards, but they don't have enough consistency or can't play around hand traps as well as meta decks do

In all likelihood, Kairyu-Shin is based off of the real-life Warasubo, an Eel Goby that is found in the coastal mud flats of Japan's Ariake Sea. Look it up, and the appearance is uncanny.

Oddly enough, I was a Mako Tsunami fan back when I was a kid. So by extension, an "Umi" deck fan. So yeah, quite interested in this deck, especially since it's not over-reliant on the Extra Deck.

Fun fact, did you know that warrior of atlantis should not be able to search anything, because legendary ocean is trearted as ,,Umi" in your deck, and that means you can play only 3 copies of ,,Umi", so you can't play three copies of both umi and legendary ocean.

It's a BKSS ruling, but also although ALO is always treated as Umi, the printed name is A Legendary Ocean. That was the ruling Konami released when they introduced Warrior of Atlantis.
