The lake serves as a major tourist attraction for the state of Meghalaya. It is also a popular destination for water sport and adventure facilities. Tourists visit this spot for kayaking, water cycling, scooting, and boating.
Umiam Lake (locally known as Dam sait) is a reservoir in the hills 15 km (9.3 mi) north of Shillong in the state of Meghalaya, India. It was created by damming the Umiam River in the early 1960s.
Timings: Lake is open at all times. Water sport activities are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Time Required: 1-2 hrs
Entry Fee: Pedal boat/canoe/kayak (30 mins)- INR 20,
Skiing- INR 200,
Scooter- INR 50,
