Victor was absolutely outstanding. As a pianist and a comedian, he was a master of both! He had people in fits of laughter with the most simple humour, with no need to resort to the smut and filth that modern comedians seem to need to make people laugh. Bravo Victor, I salute you!

I just learned about Victor Borge a year ago, I have not stopped looking for his recordings since, and my admiration for his talent has not stopped growing. What a talented artist he was. I can only regret not knowing about him and having seen him personally when he was still with us. Thumbs up for for this great talent.

His real name was Børge Rosenbaum. He was Danish but was forced to emigrate during WWII due to his Jewish heritage and change his name. He's considered a national treasure in my country. There is a square in Copenhagen named after him as well as a monument. 😊

The "Cara Nome" skit with Marilyn Mulvaney is my absolute favorite Victor Borge bit. I have watched it dozens of times, through many different performances, this one is one of the best. No matter how many times I watch it I laugh out loud. The anticipation when she goes for the high note and his head pops out from under his jacket... brilliant! No one can ever replace Victor Borge in our hearts.

A true master of comedy, timing, storytelling and musical talent, encapsulated in such a warm and gentle way. Thank God and man for film and tape! Otherwise all this would be lost! This is intertainment the way it should be! No profanity or skimpy outfits. No blazing lights!! No orchestras or loud amps!! Just a 🎹 piano and talented people!! Those days won't come back but I was blessed to see it in my lifetime!! (I'm 77) I play in several bands but I won't play modern 🎵 music! I couldn't help noticing that Victor resembles Paul Newman And Richard Drafuss!! He's played all over the world in orchestras and for royalty!! They will always be a place in my heart for people like Victor!! 😢

I watched him in the 50's and still love and his beautiful people that gave him part of his laughing; i never tired of him or his accomplishments- always great for laughing and takes out of my depression, too- i played advanced piano so of his joking around the accompaniment of his reading the music- he was clever and original with a combination of music and comedy - even language- fantastic, always!

I was privileged to have watched him live in De Doelen in Rotterdam, Netherlands, maybe late 70's or early 80's. I never laughed so much and even had doubts whether I would survive the 2nd half, suffering from abdominal pains. He was a phenomena, unique in many ways and with such a delicate touch to the piano keys. A truly great Dane!
