@maat1996 *SPOILERS* It's hard to nail them as the "Masterminds" yet. They were not given a solid motive (EP7. Labeled it as money, which everyone could have done it for), and there is still something going on behind the scenes that we haven't been shown. Not to mention they were not the only ones killing people, they just were much more... direct. Spoiler tag kinnda useless since no one else used one, but I still like to be kind... oh well that's what you get for reading Umineko comments heh.

Because Kyrie is presented as such in ep 7, I'd like to disqualify her as the culprit. In fact, I'm thinking Natsuhi, Eva, and Kyrie are disqualified as possible culprits at this point. As accomplices, however, that possiblility is still open.

Obviously this also means that Hideyoshi is a culprit in the first game. He willingly lies to his son about the corpse of Shannon, while Shannon is "dressed up" as Kanon, in plain sight. Immediately after, he goes to a room alone, with Eva, despite knowing that he's defenseless there. Why would he help a murderer, and then not for one second doubt that this murderer will turn on him (which said murderer did) ?

Within EP 6 they finally give a definition in Red that a person means body. In an earlier book, it is stated in Red that "6 people:___,___,Shannon,____,Kumasawa, and Kanon are dead!" (I've forgotten who else they say is dead) The point is, if Shannon and Kanon count as two separate bodies, then how can they be the same person?

HOWEVER, REGARDLESS OF THE MOTIVE, KYRIE WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL CULPRIT OF THE THIRD GAME!!! EVA COMMITTED THE CRIMES OF THE SECOND TWILIGHT AND MOST LIKELY THE CRIMES OF THE 7TH AND 8TH TWILIGHTS AS WELL WITH THE DEATHS OF NATSUHI AND KRAUSS. HOWEVER I DON'T THINK SHE KILLED HIDEYOSHI AND RUDOLF! Those two are the only two people who could've been possibly killed by Kyrie. She prolly knew that Eva would kill her so she left the cigar hint if you remember from the end of episode 3.

Read the manga, Ryukishi said he adds extra clues in it. Look at the Beach scene of the cousins in EP 1, Maria draws 6 people when Battler talks about the 9th Twilight.One figure she a drew a cross,another 2 circles in its face,a girl with a skirt,Natsuhi is obvious,Rosa.Just the 6th person looks awkward. Anyway, after she drew them, Battler mentions nobody survives and a wave destroys the drawings.

I think that Battler's parents are only the culprits in the 7th game and due the circumstances. The theory of KnownNoMore about who did it, why and how, is pretty solid, you can watch it if you are interested and have a lot of time xD

I just gave an example, Rosa is still my main believe. And I dunno how much canon the Manga has, but it damn sure yells Rosa all over. For example, Hideyoshis death was in the shower with the water on hot.That speeds up Rigor Mortis allowing one to fake the time of death. Found at 7:30, Nanjo said dead for an hour. Shortly before, Eva even mentioned to Natsuhi that once can fake the time of death to establish an Alibi.

Every murder can be explained with Rosa and George as culprits and it all makes sense. The motives are perfect, Rosa was tormented by her three older siblings her entire life, and now no one will love her because she has a daughter. George was always oddball, Jessica was the most popular girl, Battler was the most popular boy, how do you think that would make him feel? His family also doesn't approve of his relationship with Shannon. Finally, you don't have to explain the logic error.

It is further explained in episode 3 when Battler speaks with Eva, however in the sound novel, they explain things better. you really should read the novel before trying to watch the upcoming anime episoes. You'd understand it more and it's nice to spot the differences between the two as well.

No. It's stated that Rosa wanted to name her Maria but Kinzo didn't want her to. She still named her Maria. Maria never had more than one name.

Key evidence for Rosatrice: EP 2: Rosa wielded the 45 Winchester. The 45 Winchester is compatible with 410 boreshells containing 00 Buckshots. In addition: There are 3 people that have never been staked. 0715 from EP3. 7 Stakes 15 (of 18) people were staked.Rosa Maria and Battler never got staked.

People need to realize that Yasu is an implication of someone else on the Island. Chiru is just a mirror view of 1-4. Yasu represent the actual culprit but isn't THE culprit. EG: 07151129. While that shows Battlers Birthday and the date Yasu became Beatrice it also fits perfectly with the deaths of EP 1-3. Out of the 18 people on Rokkenjima only 15 were staked by the 7 stakes. Meanwhile outside the stakings we have 11 people with 29 being the total without the culprit and Eva escaping.

I know it's not really my place to say this but I want to make something known...I don't have a clear side but with Maria in the visual novels it is clearly said that she doesn't remember Battler before the events take place. Remember the beginning of episode 1 and 2? Rosa had to explain who Battler was to her. So, what the other person said does make sense because evidence was presented in the beginning to prove that she didn't remember him. Personally, I just don't want anyone mad here...

Chivalry hailed from Germany, but the term hails from french, Horse Soldiery. Thing is with the german: Krauss is actually a mistranslation. Beatrice said his blood has german origins.We got no Krauss but Klaus. Rudolf is also german, and Rosa also has a german meaning. "Krauss" - Victory, in EP 3 Eva said to Rosa that she has no idea what "Brother" may do if she reveals the Gold to which Rosa that declaring Victory is a must cause she also feared "brother".

Now! Look at the first game! In the "final battle" between Beatrice and Battler, it was declared in red that none of the deaths in the first game were faked. Thus, ruling her out as a suspect for the first game! Lambdadelta also noted in the '???' segment in red that the "no deaths were fakes" rule applied to all games! She died on the first twilight on the first twilights in games 1 and 2 and in the third game, she died fifth! However, ppl still died afterwards so she has an alibi after that!

E - Battlers promise 6 years ago mentions the white Horse. The name Rosa can mean Rose(Maria wanted to take care and heal that sole sick rose among all the others.) but just how Krauss and Rudolf are Germanic (And their meanings bearing importance to the Plot just like Evas), Rosa can also mean Horse.

Rosa said if Eva remains silent, things are gonna get really worse than just disputes cause "Brother" is cunning. Soon later, Rudolf by himself had found Rosa and Maria dead and along with Kyrie goes around shooting. The name Rudolf, refers to a Wolf and Rudolf is stated to be violent by nature.

Kyrie even mentions Rudolf will come to her aid with a white Horse/knight.And if Rudolf would be the knight, then he wouldn't be able to pin as a Knight can't do that in Chess. White Knight most likely refers to Hideyoshi as he was with them. Belphegor sacrifcing herself for Evatrice further shows the Pin as the piece that is pinned HAS to protect the King and cannot move away.

3 people that weren't staked: Rosa,Maria and Battler. Ask yourself: Maria is important to Beatrice as she is her "Messenger". Battler is self explainantory I suppose as he hold a special connection to her. Those 2 simply cannot be staked, especially seeing the Chess Logic that is applied in Umineko.Battler is called the White King, Maria is implied to be the Black King.Invaluable pieces in Chess.Also: EP 1: Survive until the end.EP 2: Survive until the end. EP 3: King fell.Evatrice took over.

First of all, it was the fifth twilight that she died on. It's possible that Kyrie knew about the gold and was somehow sure about where it was. Who knows, maybe Rosa wasn't the only one who went down that path and found Eva. It's possible that Kyrie killed Hideyoshi and Rudolf, but then Eva saw what she was trying to do (kill everybody for the gold) and then Eva killed Kyrie. That's the only way that's possible. Still, she didn't have any part in the second twilight. That was all Eva's doing.

Thing is, supposedly, Nanjo is an accomplice to Yasu. Yet, in fact, you cannot trick anyone else in such manner except the one performing the diagnosis, iow, Nanjo. Eva and Hideyoshi are proven to be alive at 7 per TV and even said the best action IS to keep the door locked.So much for the door not locked or chain not set and she herself was the one who said she believes the Servants are behind the 1st Twilight.No way would she open the door to them.

Look at Episode 2. 6 people are dead in the Chapel. Can be explained with: The 6th Person is actually Kinzo that is hidden in the Chapel and someone on the table faked their death.

Actually, it means that neither Nanjo nor the servants approached the door. However, I have previously stated that none of these murder scenarios work without AT LEAST TWO CULPRITS. A primary, and a secondary. George is the secondary culprit. Since they trust him implicity, Eva would open the door for him, thus allowing him to kill her with ease, before dealing with Hideyoshi.

Also, notice that Kyrie said she was reminded of Asumu when she looked at Battler. It's possible that she actually hated him as well as Rudolf and wanted the whole family to die and to take the gold an live with Ange, her own daughter, with a vast fortune.

Maria is either among the last or dies with Rosa. Did that never struck you as strange? And it's no secret that for example Rosa killed the 3 in Natsuhi's room in EP2.Gohda tries to lock it per turn lock but Beatrice unlocks it./Rosa held the Masterkeys. Beatrice killed Gohda through the door, Rosa just needs to shoot through it. And the entire illusionary sequence happened when Battler is stated to have been asleep. If Shannon dies it was Rosa.

And that's where Rosa comes in as her name can refer to Rose, look at Maria wanting to heal the ONLY sick Rose among the others.Of course, a Rose is a symbol of love, yet seeing it from germanic, it refers to the Horse. Want further prove? Evas name refers to Life/Alive. And as said, Kinzo has little to no books in his language and is known to give his children weird names.

Remember what happened when Battler tried to say "I am Ushiromiya Asumu's son" in red? He choked trying to say it which means that it is false. Even Ange admitted IN RED that our Battler is not Asumu's son. Two red truths that contradict each other. How to resolve the two? The only explanation that can be said is that Asumu did have a son named Battler (who is supposedly already dead 6 years ago), but it is not our Battler which means that there are 2 Ushiromiya Battlers in existence.

A - "Maria" is stated to not be her birthname, Kinzo named her, Rosa changed it to Maria.Yet, Kinzo did so despite that he wasn't fond of her and didn't even really talk to her. B - Kinzo is stated to give his own children weird names. C - Battler said he spouted alot of Bullshit when he was younger. D - Maria is stated to believe ANYTHING you tell her, even after 6 years.

Yes by Rosa, the very one who had ordered Maria to keep a diary cause she tends to forget things.And the point was that the promise was to Maria.Whether or she remembers is a whole different thing cause point was that Battler tossed the White Horse Term. Of course Chivalry, but people jump to soon on the whole "White Knight" and "Love" wagon.

I think a lot of people are missing the point now. We know the culprit. (The 'who') We know the murders (The 'what') for most of the worlds We know how things got set into motion (the 'why') We know the answer to the epitaph, and we know who Beatrice is. But the truth is still in the cat-box. In fact, this story isn't about finding the truth anymore I think. Maybe the truth simply isn't important anymore. We've proven what we wanted, we've proven the humans vs witch argument.

What-is-your-point? Ryukishi gave us a story we could solve, that's what we should trust him to do. We can interpret "without love you can't see it" as many times as we like. It could simply mean that the reader should immerse themselves into the story or it should take the characters' feelings into account. Both theories do that. IMO Van Dine's 2nd is also up to interpretation at that point. There are other rational explanations for the Shkanon hints. I'd like to hear that,

in alliance she did happen to tell battler to believe in a witch if he saw one. moreover she was one of the only people who were confirmed to be alive after kinzo appeared by telephone call, also including Krauss. implying that they were in on the murder. sooooo those responsible for the 4th game should include ghoda Kumasawa (they said that kinzo was still alive, failing to mention which kinzo ) Krauss and Kyrie the two who ended up shooting out everyone else.

EP 1: Maria and Battler are last. EP 2: Maria and Battler are last. EP 3: Rosa and maria died together EP 4: Maria and Battler are last. EP 5: Maria and Rosa die together EP 6: Maria Rosa AND Battler together. Remember how Marias candy was fixed by Beatrice? Maria had her eyes closed so the trick = The broken candy was switched with a new very same one to create the illusion it was magic due to closed eyes. Only possible for the one who bought the broken one.
