The performance needs to be changed. A lot. And not just visually, but they underestimated the importance of backing vocals. 2 is not enough for this song, you need to have all the 5 people backing vocals doing it. Just look at how Måns did his "child choir" in eurovision. The silly dancers does nothing good for this. Song has the potential, but this performance does not.

the reason why she did this kinda dissapointment was maybe cause this tells her history of being always second and getting haters by her sexual way she is. she has always got this comment like not good enough. she never wasn't big artist for Finland. Everyone is talking about her vocals but she sounds like the audio, this is the first performance in front of a full audience so it will be a mixture of nerves and excitement. Saara can definately deliver a performance and she did exactly that. Eurovision also has a higher quality sound system which will help. The live show looked and sounded awful. Shame shame shame. Everything was so wrong with this performance. If Finland wants to get to the finals, they need to change the whole show and definitely change the backup singers. I know you are disappointed and I was too, but she said they will change the staging for Lisbon which I am really glad about. And you'll propably notice that Saara's voice wasn't as good as usually, and I think that is because 1. She was really nervous because this means so much to her and this was the first performance. 2. Does Saara have a cold? Her vocals sound a little thin and she seems to struggle with a few flat notes throughout the song. Anyways, I like the composition a lot. It has decent potential at ESC. But I still think that "Monsters" is a rock/metal song at heart. Something in the style of Nightwish or Within Temptation with powerful guitars and some symphonic vibe would elevate this from a solid entry to a fantastic entry.
