Hello, thank you for your question, here is the solution: Composite states contain one or more states i.e. substates ; Composite states are further divided as 1) parallel composite states and 2) Orthogonal composite states if sub-states occur simultaneously then the state are executed in parallel. And if they have Orthogonal regions then they are executed in a deterministic sequential order and not in parallel. E.g. i)A composite state A has sub- states a1,a2,a3,a4 ; all these sub-states occur or work at once so it becomes parallel state ii)i)A composite state B has sub- states b1,b2,b3,b4 ; all these sub-states occur or work sequentially one after the other so it becomes orthogonal state.
