Great video and a practical first aid kit although I would always have my kit in a backpack or something similar so that it's easier to travel with and have if I get in trouble

My trainer always had the small travel size versions of the triple antibiotic in her kit because the big tubs can get dirty quickly and its easier to throw the small tube away than the tub.

loved the video very usefull but i have no idea how if you fell in a creek and needed this stuff you wouldint be able to get it because you cant carry a huge plastic bin on the back of your horse all the time

Where do you get your saline bottles. Here in New Jersey you need a prescription for sterile saline and sterile water it's crazy

This seems to be a state restriction and luckily not something we have to worry about in Minnesota. It may be volume related in some states. I would suggest online sources or checking on smaller amounts such as contact lens saline. Or, ask your veterinarian if you can purchase from them. Your veterinarian should be able to write a prescription that would be valid for the entire year.

+University of Minnesota Equine Extension Program ok I will thanks for the great reply good video to everyone thinks dump some hydrogen peroxide and alcohol on lacerations and wounds. Also are there any harms with cleaning a wound with saline solution. Just regular irrigation no iv fluids .
