dangerous statement though, I think the problem is people read the bible like they would the constitution, where as the bible is a collection of stories written by the prophets to communicate their experience with God, and a majority of these stories are relevant to our lives but logically it is unreasonable to expect a prophet with hundreds of wives like Solomon to experience God in the same way as a prophet who "MOST LIKELY" died a virgin like Jesus... this is why people think the bible is inconsistent because different prophets have different experiences with God
