@madskilliz It's when you block an attack high but then go low, your character's hitbox will still be in a standing state instead of a crouching one. It stays this way until the blockstun is done. So you can do something like an air attack and then immediately jumping light for an instant overhead, which would normally whiff on a crouching opponent. Assists are use to convert this into a combo, or to keep them in block stun for that fuzzy guard.

@SGvince22 u pretty much got it. If your blocking a string high, then go to block low, your hitbox is still considered standing. So you can be hit by moves that normally would whiff on crouching characters. In ssf4 when you wake up blocking you're put in a fuzzy guard situation. Have you ever noticed that sometimes when you wake up you can low block a high tiger shot? Normally the high tiger shot can be ducked under but when you wake up your hitbox is considered standing a few frames

@Richnagga92 ive been wondering too. but upon self research and watching numerous vids where they mention fuzzy guard, i think its when an assist, that causes such a long block stun, i.e ammy's beams, forces you to block high or low and keeps you at that state. so blocking high on ammy's beam will leave you susceptible to a low mix up. i might be wrong, if i am, please correct me.

I gotta be honest, Noel earned a lot of respect from me this match. He's really put the effort into learning Frank West and it shows. Also, you just can't shake you're head at someone who's only got Lv1 Frank against a full team, but doesn't give in and is STILL doing their best to get the win, despite ridiculous odds. Mad props.

Im really medeocre at the entire mvc series, but I still enjoy playing now and again. I run task, cap, and spencer and my combos are pretty simple. (I do best with task) But I look at what marlin pie does with his doom and what alot of people do with magneto and dante ect. But could you personly do the things they do?? and if so Could you pssibly do it with a regular controler or do you need the joystick?? also if so,, I comend you strongly.

Fuzzy Guard is advance guarding multi hit over heads that can cross you up if you only standard guard.

It really depends on which one youre more comfortable on. I think alot of them use stick because it's what they grew up with. People like Fanatiq and PZ Mihe use pad/controller

I don't know if you will agree, but after a while even the more complex combos become fairly simple to do, it's just a matter of timing and reflex. I personally can't use a conventional controller e.g. Xbox360 controller, to do those combos. But with a pad it's much simpler.

Most of the people seems to not look at marlin pie's bar during his combos. Some combos he doesnt use super, but use attacks that waste 1 bar per use. I'm telling this cuz they got the idea that marlin does not waste any meter, and actually he does. Marlin is a damn beast and his combos are freaking godlike.

I just finished watching a Japanese UMvC3 tournament and most of the high level plays is consisted of "Vergil". They would even tag him in to kill him off because xfactor 3 on Vergil looks just as scary as Wesker. I would say Japanese players treat Vergil as the Americans treat Wesker here. Japanese players also have VERY GOOD Strider and Morrigan.
