I mean, he's still selfish in principle. He hasn't done much in the fight against evil in the SF series since like, Alpha 3. Nobody knows who killed Bison, and it seems it wasn't him. Jin Killed Azazel, he also killed Jinpachi, so... He's actually done more to attain the 'hero' title.

Vladimir Morales Liu Kang I can agree. I despise the new Liu Kang over his personality. Tekken 6 Jin really annoys me because he's such a prick. (ironically my phone wanted to correct prick to nice guy XD) Ryu hasn't done much though compared to someone like Jin. Who's defeated some of the most evil things in existence. Hopefully his personality will be better in Tekken 7.

TREVORVADER Jin was never meant to be a role model from the get-go. But he's been successful at defeating and killing (most) evil entities in Tekken. He has more of a purpose, in comparison to Ryu, who seems to be content on simply improving himself and containing the Satsui no Hado. Getting closer on what happened before SF3, which is SF5, it seems that he's not even close to being involved in eventually killing Bison. A safe bet would be Guile, Cammy, or even Charlie Nash.
