I actually like Chris G, and I've been a fan of Morrigan ever since the Darkstalkers series debuted in arcades in 1996. I was reppin' Morrigan since vanilla Marvel 3, and I used Morrigan, Iron Man, and Deadpool. However, I love the game, and the tourney scene even more...I would hate to see the scene diminish simply because of two, abused, and somewhat overpowered characters that reduce the game to a spam war, especially since Marvel is a series that was more focused on rush down.

I'd agree to the extent that ChrisG is possibly the most compitent user of the Morridoom Shell, but to say that it's PURELY ChrisG? I'd like to see him get the same results after a nerf bat ...

Morrigan is not a problem. If Morrigan were as good as people claimed I feel like she'd be used as often as Vergil/Doom/Wesker/Magneto/etc. The only person I've seen consistently using Morrigan and winning is Chris, whereas everyone uses those broken ass Doom missiles. There are so many characters i'd want patched before Morrigan.

Not sure how you don't think Morrigan is NOT a problem. Aside from all the things I already mentioned, she has a completely invincible level 1 hyper that gets her out of jail for free. She's exceptional at zoning and more than capable at rushdown. With heavy soul fists, her damage is actually pretty good. She can steal meter which makes her anti DP. People use the characters you mention because they are relatively easy to use and yield high results. Include Logan too. Morrigan requires work.

It's a nerf applied to one character each, and I'm comfortable with the nerf being applied to characters that may have an assist with properties similar to Doom's Hidden Missiles, or a super with similar properties to Morrigan's Astral vision.

FACKIN HELL RAYRAY you are the best, i used to root for chris when you play against him but dam that was amazing. Keep up the good work and would I recommend the shoryuken assist for ryu? If you time it right, you can get morrigan when you're close range and with Magneto's abilities to hit confirm off of ryu, I think it might work.

Mad respect to Ray Ray. I don't care what anyone says. He has the strongest conviction in this game. With ChrisG's lineup, it is not an ideal match up for Ryu and Ray always loses! But I respect him because HE KEEPS COMING BACK. I get discouraged watching RayRay play against Chris and there are times when I almost feel like I wanna give up for him...but he just doesn't. And it's incredible to see.

This is why I mentioned Doom requiring a change. Obvious top tiers in the game (Morrigan, Magneto, Vergil, Spencer, Zero, Doom, etc) all kind of annoy me in general. I feel they should buff weaker characters to make them more viable. I'd like it if characters I used had some improvements. Like Chris having an upward gunshot, Trish a little more damage via chip or rushdown, or Deadpool NOT being hard knockdowned after a third teleport, etc. The top tiers have made this game utterly boring IMO.

Ray Ray and Yipes need to team up for the ultimate people's duo and just train harder than ever before. Work their way up to a whole new level of play, and then at the next tournament take on Chris. I like Chris's play style, but he almost makes the perfect "villain" from an entertainment viewpoint. Yipes and Ray Ray can do this, but they need to hit the labs hard to get to their new best.

I agree...Morrigan should not gain meter while in Astral Vision...and the Doom's hidden missiles should go away when Doom gets hit.

I guess you can fall behind. These guys are players. Chris plays to win, not to appease the crowd. This isn't painting where you amaze the crowd, it's a game, a tournament in addition. If you don't like it then sucks for you because you're going to have to deal with Chris winning most of these tournaments. I for one love the way Chris plays because he makes little babies cry, being the majority of the community. And the best part is that they will continue to cry because they can't beat Chris G.

I'm just saying there's a strategy forming. If there isn't, then there's no hope. I believe that he has forced Chris G to play the optimal level of his team to stay on top of the Battle Circuit. It's not to say that no work has been done by Ray, he has picked up on any weakness in the team composition, but Chris has been covering those weaknesses very well because of it. It sucks because its not a morridoom team winning, its pure Chris G

That's one of the reasons I prefer to watch the Japanese arcade scene. You will find skillful players who will learn mid, and low tier characters, so you see more diversity in Japanese top matches, whereas in the U.S. we see too many of the same characters.

The problem is both Morrigan and Doom. Hidden Missiles is flat out the most broken assist in the game. Combine that with the fact that Morrigan is probably the safest character in the game, and it just becomes too much. Morrigan also has a stupidly small hitbox, good chip, good normals, good hurtboxes, and decent health. Something about her or Doom needs to be changed.

As long as there are characters that are just as broken as Morrigan she doesn't bother me. Have you seen a good Zero? It's basically a pizza cutter and then some lightning and then you can put your controller down. Patching Morrigan wouldn't make this game any more balanced, there would just be one less broken character in this game to match the rest.
