The United Nations Secretary General has warned that the latest Israeli-Palestinian conflict is heading for “an uncontainable security and humanitarian crisis”.
António Guterres appealed for an immediate end to the fighting, at a special meeting of the UN Security Council.
On the deadliest day since the start of the current hostilities, 42 Palestinians were reported to have been killed by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, including 10 children.
Israel says rockets fired by Hamas into Israel have killed 10 Israelis since the latest hostilities began.

Your statement is very ironic considering the Jewish people literally took advantage of a double crossing of the Arabs by the British Empire. They fought to defeat the ottoman empire on behalf of Great Britain on the promise of their autonomy. The Rothschild family in Great Britain stepped in to fight for the Jewish people to gain most of the land following WWII and then the Jewish people immediately benefited by declaring their independence. Since this was completely against the original agreement it led to the Arab-Israli war. The Palestibians were then placed immediately into a police state and have been controlled this way ever since by the Jewish government. Isreal also has Arab citizens and now you see them revolting because their opinion and wishes are not being represented by the Israeli government composed of mostly Jews. Ask yourself if you think ANY Arab-Israelis would approve a premtive bombing into Gaza? Or also, if there was a mixed population of Jewish people in Gaza would the Israeli government bomb those same areas. If the answer is no then you will understand how this is actually a targeted genocide with the cover of "protection". Israel has an iron dome. They had no need to preemptively strike. If they were attacked first then they might have some more support. But this was all an excuse to distract and damage the citizens of Gaza. Isreal's action also won't lead to a safer world. They are just creating more people to rise up against them. Young people who will later be labeled as "terrorists" just to make Israel feel better about murdering them.
