The thing about Red Velvet (and a lot of idol groups) they can produce and write but unfortunatly rarely given the opportunity, for red velvet, they had a collaboration with ellie goulding on her song close to me where wendy and yeri co-wrote the korean lyrics. Wendy worked with a Canadian producer before SM Entertainment signed her so she expressed her desire to produce her own songs before, while we're yet to see that her solo album is on the way so hopefully that happens. Yeri the youngest however has actually released her self written and self composed song "Dear diary" , she also has some unofficial relaeses such as "1000" she wrote it as a gift to fans, few months ago she revealed a short version of a new self written song "These days", she also co-wrote and co-composed a song for another artist

What I really like about Red Velvet is that they are not afraid of trying concepts & music that are not common. Big reason for this is because they are from SM Entertainment which is the home of TVXQ, BoA, Super Junior, ShiNee, f(x), SNSD, EXO, NCT & Aespa, and the common thing in these groups is they make unique sounds! And that's what makes them a unique group, they aren't doing the same music/sound twice, so if you ever heard a song from them, don't expect to hear it again on the group because SM always experimenting sounds which makes their groups music a top notch and musicians often love their arrangements. SM groups B-side tracks is also on different level, I sometimes prefer to listen on their b-side tracks 🤭 I'm hoping for more reactions on Red Velvet in the near future.

what's amazing about red velvet is that they all have different vocal tones yet they sound so great together! their discography is so diverse that they go through all genres so there definitely is a song for everyone. they have really weird songs too that causes debates amongst the fandom like rookie and zimzalabim lol but i think those songs really serves a purpose to show that red velvet can pull of any concept, hence their title "concept queens". aside from being super talented, they also are variety queens. they saved a variety show (knowing brothers) from cancellation by being a guest there and doing a skit with them that went viral. they are really funny but may not seem like it lol. I recommend watching the red velvet a mess series but before that, you should watch their reality show Level Up project first. If you would like to get on to it right away even if you haven't finished watching all the mvs yet, i suggest watching episodes 5, 7, 13, 15, and 21 because it mostly is just their random vlives.

What the Joy section didn't mention is they ALL look that good in the Bad Boy m/v. Lots of new hair colors and styles for everyone then, and Irene gets a close-up to stare into your soul. Really Bad Boy isn't directly related, it's just a Halloween song they put out in November. The controversial song is Zimzalabim, people tend to love it as a masterpiece of art or HAAAAATE it. Mostly because of one instrument that's so strong it washes out the vocals, I think. Personally I can barely stand to listen to the verses but it has an AMAZING bridge (the first one of the bridge section).

Just have to say about the 2x Speed Dance: RV are great at it they're all huge talents, but Gfriend are the inventors and undisputed Queens of the 2x. Years ago an idol show challenged them to promote their recent song at 2x speed as a funny prank... except they pulled it off perfectly. Well it had to be repeated over and over to find out if it was a fluke (it wasn't, they have suprhuman synchronization even changing speeds, makes a great compilation video) so the 2x speed dance became a thing for idol groups on that show for a few years. After that faded 2 members were on a different variety show and did their newest song perfectly... BLINDFOLDED. Then the whole group released the Eye Cover ver. dance practice video. This clip is Yuqi and Miyeon's jaws dropping at only 2 Gfriend members inventing the blindfolded dance challenge (a different group tries first and shows what it does to mere mortals), and JTBC is copyright poison. Yeri deserves all the love. ALL THE LOVE. I dont know about yall, but I for sure feel the most protective over Yeri. Not only does she literally love reveluvs the very most (not a competition, but girl goes way out of her way), she also gets the most hate for no reason. Something that still makes my blood boil to this day (to. this. day. omg) is how they called her attention seeking when she cried at Jonghyun's funeral (a member of SHINee who she had been close friends with), and then called her unprofessional when she didnt smile during the photo op at SBS Gayo 2017 (days after the funeral). I'll second that, even though there's a buttload to go through Adding up the members' individual pre-LOONA solos (There are 12 members in LOONA), duets, trios, subunits, and full group performances there are more than 2 dozen mvs to watch. And that doesn't even count their dance practices and dance covers (A must). Then there's the LOONA VLOGS and omg LOONA TV. Most LOONA TV episodes last only a minute but there are still 700+ episodes.
