The funny thing about YangYang though is that when he speaks in German theres a bit of a Chinese accent but when he speaks in English he sounds like a native German that learned English to a decent extent without losing the German accent but still easily understandable to native English speakers.

My guess is that he learned basic English while living in Germany (and likely from a German teacher). The German influence on his speech pattern is quite pronounced. He has that chop-chop German cadence even when speaking Mandarin.

Actually, I can relate with Xiaojun's bread and ice cream thing. Hot, freshly baked bread and cold ice cream is apparently a normal food pairing in my mom's office. That's where I learned some like this pairing as afternoon snacks especially during the summer. I don't think this is a common pairing or everyone likes/knows this in my country, but it does exist. Xiaojun is right tho, hahaha, there are some who just pairs food that can be eaten together.

Well Yang yang's german really is good ngl Theres a tiny accent but even germans have accents depending on the region they're from Maybe it's just because he learned german with dialect/accent Seriously it was really good And I as a german also have troubles finding words and use the english word in german pronunciation sometimes 😂 Supportieren is not actually a german word but I know that some people do say supportieren The german word would be unterstützen but quite a few people do say supportieren I was shocked by his grammar Because the problems of foreigners often are the small words We have so many small words Der die das den wenn ist sind whatever, you get the drill And I always say that the hard thing about german arent the long words (even though we're famous for that I know) but rather all these short words that can change the meaning quite a lot It's just a small word but to us germans it sounds so wrong if they're mixed up (at least that's my opinion) He's rEaLlY good at german it scares me😂

What is yangyang’s first language? It’s either English, German or Chinese but according to German speakers, yy sounds fluent enough but not enough to be native language, but then again he might’ve been nervous and didn’t speak German for a long time. With English, it just seems a bit odd if he grew up in Germany with a Chinese family native in English. In a Kun V-log on Weibo there’s Ten making fun of yy for his chinese not being fluent and him still messing up a bit to which yy replied with « as long as it’s better than yours, its okay » which makes me think that Chinese isn’t his native either. Lol imagine xiaoyang talking to his family in all 3 languages at the same time so cutee

When he was 11 his family moved to Germany where he lived for 6 years. He said that he learnt German in natural ways & that he also had a tutor for it.
