Without hesitation, Rabbi Edery instructed Patrick to write a substantial check to help alleviate her financial woes immediately. Later, once the woman left, he reimbursed Patrick discreetly, ensuring neither party felt indebted nor embarrassed. Another anecdote illustrates his keen perception. While discussing Torah with Rabbi Edery in his antique shop, he abruptly requested a specific item from the display case-a glass bell jar meant for porcelain dolls. Puzzled, the narrator complied, later learning that another visitor required precisely that item at that very moment. Rabbi Edery somehow intuited this need despite having no prior knowledge of the person or their request. During summer vacations spent at L'Île Verte, approximately 60 kilometers from Paris, Rabbi Edery demonstrated his otherworldly awareness again. Upon disembarking from the boat, he accurately predicted the exact location of the Ahmar family's vacation home among dozens of similar houses, much to the narrator's astonishment.
