why do they not use sousaphones? carrying a normal tuba like that looks very uncomfortable

That's a normal tuba

That's a contra tuba marching style of a concert tuba

the sousaphones is not something UNA does, same with trombones. They get in the way and they find it easier because they've always done it that way.

@@alloyproductions2450 kinda. Trombones got in the way yes but contras just provide a more full sound, hence why it looks closer to a concert tuba. UNA did not always do it this way tho. Go back 15 to 20 years and you’ll see they had sousaphones and trombones, in fact.
