"Pico, what the HELL are you doing!? MOVE YOUR ASS!" _Darnell was shouting at his friend, his voice struggling to be heard over the shrieks of those burning alive, and the shrieks of those experiencing an even worse fate. For a moment, the gunman did not respond. He simply kept staring into the mall, into the rising inferno. Eventually, he responded._ "They're still in there." _Pico said, almost too quiet for Darnell to hear. He took a shaking step forwards, his legs trembling as that purple pus leaked from the purulent injuries. His hands, now mutated and twisted into sharp claws, clutched his gilded guns tightly, ignoring how the golden sheen began to melt off into molten riches, the magma trickling down his hand._ "ARE YOU CRAZY? THEY'RE AS GOOD AS DEAD! IF THAT *THING* DOESN'T KILL THEM, THE FIRE WILL. YOU'RE DELUSIONAL-" _Darnell yelled, before his voice broke into gutteral wheezes. The smoke was starting to get bad, the scent of burning flesh pungent in the air. All the while, a young child kept tugging on his sleeves, his voice timid and shy._ "I-is he going to be okay, señor fuego? W-where's Skid?" _Pump asked, his chalky costume now beginning to rot and twist. His cyan eyes glowed as he trembled, blood beginning to trickle from the corners of his mouth as his body began to succumb to the disease._ "Darnell, take the kid and run. Find his parents, find his friend's parents, find SOMEONE." _Pico shouted over the roaring flames, pointing a sharpened finger towards the entrance behind them. Outside, muffled noises of pandemonium highlighted the beginning of the end, the first responders to the fire now in conflict with the newly spreading hivemind. Darnell took a moment to think, before throwing Pump over his shoulders._ "Hold on Kid, we're going on a trip!" _Darnell shouted, sprinting as fast as he could. He ducked his head down, covering Pump with his body as he forced his shoulders through the glass door. The door burst into sharp confetti, with Darnell nearly taking a nosedive. Stumbling to his balance, he continued to book it. He could pry out the shards later._ "M-mister, where's Skid!?" _Pump began to panic, trying to twist his body to escape Darnell's grasp. Darnell didn't have the heart to tell him that he saw what happened to Skid, and his poor mother. Darnell grabbed him tighter, and he forced a lie through his teeth._ "I saw his mom grab him and run. He's fine." _Darnell said._ --- _What remained of the fire systems kicked into overdrive, the water raining on the charred tiles of the mall in a fruitless attempt to preserve what remained of the mall. Pico didn't care; he dashed through the mall, stumbling over the bodies and knocking aside the dormant victims, who reached out to him, but did not chase._ _Eventually, he found his target in the parking garage. Like the rest of the victims, it would seem like another husk. But Pico knew that awful hairdo better then the back of his own hand. It turned to face him, the eyes empty as the face of the shell began to melt from the building heat._ "...Come on BF." --- Low quality thing I wrote.
