Not worked for me, never been able to be summoned. Nat type 2 and tried DNS settings, no idea about the third thing

To anyone still struggling with this issue, at least on PS5. You need to open port 8571 UDP, this is the only fix for me.

@@Redeyedjedii Use your browser on computer and find out how to access your routers settings. When you logged in you can open ports and u need to open 8571 UDP otherwise it will never connect to other players. I was surprised I could fix this issue with this.

That is just ONE random port in the range between 8568-8599 of unassigned registered ports... They should open automatically while ya device connecting after the initial connection is established... In most scenarios there is no need to "open" them manually - that would mean they are ALLWAYS open to listen, what is not the purpose but running a service

Should mention to run a dmz host ist in most of casual home network not the very most secure action you should do to your network, because everything unknown from the internet will point to your gaming device like a honey pot

Try changing your dns in your settings, if that doesn't work, maybe dmz, this is really finicky for a lot of people, not to mention fromsoft requires a summon item first on top of all that

Hey, I’m not sure whether is the patch update! But I’m struggling to join my friends game. He doesn’t see my sign! I’m on journey 2 and he’s on journey 1 not sure whether they has anything to do with it :) any advice would be great

he needs to use a finger calling remedy, then try to use password but if you can summon him in the same area, it might be because he killed the area boss, he won’t be able to summon in that area anymore. if that is not the case it could be incompatible nat type with him. this fix usually works if you can already see each other’s summon sign.

that’s basically a soulsgame mechanic, summoning is allowed when the area boss is still alive. This fix is for those having technical issues where they see the summon sign and it doesn’t push through
