At 1hr27 minute question , why we r not considering moment of rod? Also for question at 1 hr 52 min., why we r not considering moment of ball due to gravity

At 1 hr 27 min - Moment of rod is considered with parallel axis theorem (1st 2 terms of RHS of equation) bcoz it is not hinged about it's center (see carefully) At 1 hr 52 min - I think what you are saying is why Moment of weight of ball due to gravity is not considered? It is because it is not a restoring force. It was present in equilibrium state when system was not initially disturbed. We ONLY consider restoring forces which arise due to small displacements or rotations. Not the forces/moments that were present in equilibrium state bcoz they don't act as restoring moments/forces.
