-find existing speed of reading=words per minute 1-survey method-go through summary, headings, subheadings and diagrams. 2-Develop honest questions-what, when, how, where ,why,who.. 3-control sacadic movements -use pacer -chunking:-focus on specific words only - avoid speaking out loud -avoid subvocalisation -avoid regression Tips:-avoid distraction -anticipate the author -flexible speed -focus on vocabulary -maintain rythm.

___________________NOTES _______________________________ : Question To ASK:--->what , why ,when, how, where, who : what is this chapter about. how m i going to apply this chapter . All the above questions are about active reading, No Passive Reading. Record Your Progress, To keep Track of Reading Time . Draw Graph. Steps Involved In Reading: step-1. Survey Method or Preview Method. : Take The Glance Of Chapter ,take a Holistic idea of the chapter, summary of the chapter,Idea of the Chapter. keypoints and phrases, step-2: Develope Questions :what is this chapter about. where m i going to apply it how this is benificial to me. step-3: Controlling Eye Moment : Common Method: Back and Forth. Not a good method for Reading as well as Comprehension. Solution: Take a pointer ,pen, pencil, finger tip,and hoover it over the line. not take more the 1 sec. :one line 1 sec. Do'nt Worry About comprehension at all step-4: Chunking :Use Peripheral Vision for Covering The Words in the beginning and at the End. : Three Vices: Bad Habits 1.Vocalisation (Speaking out Loud) Stop Reading With Vocalisaton 2. Sub Vocalization speaking In Mind: avoid Using Techniques like Chiwingum,1-10counting. 3. Regression Revert back to see what was written. Regress only When Book contains lots of jargans (Important ideas). In General Do'nt Regress. Only Go back After Finishing a line, page ,chapter. TIPS: -avoid Distractions -Focus on Vocabulary -sub-Vocalization: important if Remembering is Involved -Anticipate the author going to Write next -Flexible Speed:speed Reading is like Like Driving a car. Slow Down when content is Information Oriented. Its Should Not always at top speed, slow down at breakers etc. -Always Focus on Active Reading , Refrain YourSelf From Passive Reading. -After Finishing this Video, We have just Started -Do Not Read For More than 1 Hour at one Stretch , take 10 min Break to Relax your Mind.

I could read faster instantaneously and comprehend better as well. Thank you so much. Now I get it what I was doing wrong. By keeping the tempo slow and reading word by word, I couldn't comprehend the whole line or whole para was about. But after doing the exercises and applying them I came to know the immense power of the brain to "fill in the blanks". Thanks again!!
