Interestingly, this side of the pond (UK), the Italian case is listed on eBay at £39.99, the US made Pelican at £99.99. Sounds like Transport and duty costs have a huge impact on large, bulky products.

Seems like an overkill case for fold up headphones under $500. I suggest a hard shell foam case like a Slappa case. Much cheaper, smaller, and perfectly fine for cheaper headphones that will not be crushed or submerged.
