Void Vision simply kicks ass, and lead me to my new fav. type of music in dark minimal, cold/synth wave. Thank you! Sub Rosa rocks!

I ‘like’ Grimes, but I LOVE Void Vision. I feel her music has more depth and soul. I really hope VV comes out with new music soon. I absolutely adore her gritty 80’s electro-goth sound and aesthetic :) 🖤

it's definitely catchy but why is it catchy? Well... if you listen to this genre of music... you find out EVERYONE does these same time signatures, drum sequencers, fills, audio and midi effects. Making it hard to differentiate between the majority of these neo-synth artists... it's pretty much novelty at this point. There's literally hundreds right now or within the past few years sound exactly like this and they're all amazing. So don't take anything away from the younger generations coming up and paying dues. It's awesome!!!! They could always take things to the next level and be more unorthodox if they want to transcend this novelty stage in their careers but the demographic, for the most part, they are catering to would possibly dissipate. If someone is a living walking jukebox... I doubt they would have the capabilities to transcend this stage, which is totally fine.

@@austonsmith536 your ears are not well trained, i really can hear the difference between bands like voidvision, molchat doma, body of light, ritual veil, etc, every band has their own print.

@@baudelaire6647 But how much difference are we talking? Because swapping between tracks as someone that uses a DAW almost daily for hours there's but a drag-and-drop difference between 2 beats, the difference between the 2 are some audio effects and maybe an octave change in the vocals and lyrical content to a degree. Far far from being original or of the art variety but moreso novelty and nothing else. And as a depeche mode fan for years and breaking their songs down to understand the DNA of their music ... you can also point out any of the new Synth Pop origins via Depeche Mode era. Every song nicely fits within the DM discography.

I also can tell the difference from VV and other songs, it is a same pattern but to me it has an emotional core to it,even if its cold hard synth. Also as someone who has also used a DAW for 18 years, listening to a band to extract DNA ruins the internal expression of your own sound. Best way (if anyone reading this) is to express yourself how you feel emotionally thru the music, even if it sounds like shit, over time you can perfect that sound, infact sometimes i ONLY listen to my music for weeks. Music is emotional internal mental feeling.
