@sweetsalvation Pray for discernment; avoid slanderous comments if you truly do not know. This is an act of judgement towards brothers. It’s also a stereotypical judgement; like saying every human is born with all of it’s limbs. When in fact some are actually born with a lack of, therefore it’s not true for everyone. In short, not all hip hip or rap artists are antichrists, or as demonic. I agreed there are indeed a lot of them out there. However we do need to be praying for our music industry, our politics. Our other countries, neighbors, churches. Ephesians 4:25-32. God Bless.

It's through the music these guys have put out that has brought me closer to God than ever before. I am really appreciative of the work they do. It's always been hard for me to find music that's not only relatable but God inspired and edifying, until recently when my brother introduced me to Christian Hip-Hop. Thank you Jesus for these artists and artists like them, and all Glory be to God.

Thank you so very much! Continued blessings, strength, uplifting and protection to all of you in Jesus name! A commenter below said exacting...it is great for youths to see many boldly standing in the gap for them. The society has turned into something else, not good. You can't see all the people your light shinning has moved the darkness out of the way for, so they clearly see and accept life through Jesus Christ. Out of 10, God's words through music may be the only positive in a young persons' life. I was one of those kids surrounded by enemies and through a few words in a song, the Holy Spirit pricked my heart; I accepted Jesus Christ and never looked back....unashamed for Life!!! We pray for all of you who are on the front line in Jesus mighty name, amen!

I don’t understand why Andy kept comparing what they do with the world “Migos” and “Kanye.” As Christians we are supposed to be different from the world because we are not of the world even though we are in the world. This is why as believers we should stop trying to fit into what Christ has called us out of.

@@coachwgthewgbrand892 how can you as a "christian", say that somebody that spreads the foolish knowledge of darkness decieving many souls to hell, puts out "art" that is excellent quality. So sad. The fruit of reach records and majority of their fans testify of how this is a movement of the flesh.

@@MP-yc2ou I see your point, but you have to remember MP, Jesus has blessed us individually with specific gifts, and we can CHOOSE to use those gifts/talents to honor God our savior. Also, as rapper's professing Jesus Christ, they can't "pretend" the secular artists aren't famous and steer the "mainstream" music industry. I can tell you...that alot of teens in youth ministry...who may not be born again christians yet, listen to those secular artists.

Lecrae said he hopes they pull him off stage if he's 60 still trying to rap. He'll be 40 this year. 20 years ago 35 was too old to rap, but now you have De La Soul, Snoop, Nas and Tribe who are pushing 50, but their music is for an older audience. Maybe in 20 years it won't be an odd thing to see a 60 year old rapper. Their music won't be for the 21 year old, but for people closer to their age.

1 cor 9:20, "And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;" If the world makes hiphop that does mean we can't make it it's just us appealing to the lost that like it I think it's strategic ministry and a parallel to this verse. hiphop itself isn't worldly it's just a genre, the moral content is what makes the difference.

It’s kinda funny how Andy talks about not using a line in a song that you wrote, which is similar to another artists because it would sound like your biting, and Tedashi was bobbing his head in agreement, but that’s exactly what he just did with @J. Monty.

That's an assumption. Also, many people have used that line or a variant of it in their songs so it's not original anyway.
@drewmixalot
@drewmixalot 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it can definitely be argued that it wasn’t stolen, because it’s such a generic line, but J. Monty swears that it was because of writing sessions that he’s had with them. Who knows, but it’s still funny because it’s the exact same line and Tedashii used it exactly how Andy said you shouldn’t.

@calebforbes7855
@calebforbes7855 5 жыл бұрын
They don't really have to talk about anything like that. I agree that both those most recent movements are extremely sinful. At the same time though Andy Mineo and Lecrae have talked about the issue of homosexuality. As a conservative, I would rather hear a little less of the politics. I just have to remember that I believe in the same Jesus, and I agree with them as Christians, not as political thinkers.
@joshuahuihui5913
@joshuahuihui5913 5 жыл бұрын
@@calebforbes7855 Who said this is about politics? This is about wickedness, perversion and murder. You're a prime example of why us Christians are weak and cowardly in America. We like to relate abortion and homosexuality to something "political". That has nothing to do with "politics" or as some others brush it off and say, "oh that's just policy". Politics creates words for issues like "pro choice" for abortion or for homosexuality "alternative lifestyle". No buddy, it's straight from the pit of hell. We can't politicize sin or call something "political". Jesus never did. It's sin and it must be called out. Over 60 millions babies have been murdered through abortion and hardly any Christian rappers or Christians in the entertainment business are saying anything about it. And now they just passed a bill where even if the child is born, the mother has the option to have the child killed. This is sick reality. This is not "politics". And as far as homosexuality, I've not heard one Christian rapper call it out as sin, neither have I heard anyone speak against gay marriage or transgenderism. We should NEVER allow politics, government, social media or popular entertainers to influence our biblical worldview or shape our convictions. We shape and influence culture to be Christ centered and God glorifying. The truth is that many Christians in America are cowards, not all, but most and they are compromising like crazy.
@calebforbes7855
@calebforbes7855 5 жыл бұрын
@@joshuahuihui5913 Hey sorry if I didn't clarify. I'm not one of these Christians that are cowardly in America. I meant specifically on things that are hard to draw a line on Biblically, like immigration and the refugee crisis, which these rappers do regularly talk about. Those are the kinds of things I wish they would be less political about. In case you didn't see it, I said, "I agree that both of those most recent movements (in reference to Abortion and Homosexuality) are extremely sinful." I know that it's not just political. Abortion is murder and the reason why Sodom and Gamora were so bad was because of the homosexual sin. I'm pretty sure I agree with you. The only reason why I responded to your comment in the first place was that I thought it was odd you said they should respond to those two specific things. I see where you're coming from, but there are other issues of this scale that are talked about by them. Things such as human trafficking, and pornography. And I do think it would be beneficial for them to talk about Abortion.

Comments like these bother me in every way! Why do they need to say they are Christian Rappers? Just because you give yourself the title of Christian does not always mean you are one. We clearly see that and how our politics are set up. I believe what's more important is for them to continue to share the gospel of Christ in their music and in the way they live. Notice majority of the men on the stage and wedding rings on in Austin about how much they love their wives in their family. That is Christlike. There are certain issues that don't need to be talked about because the Bible speaks loudly for all of it. I think if you want a platform to speak on these issues, and you feel like God has called you to speak on those and you're not just doing it to be trendy, and then I think you should do that. But expecting these brothers to use their voice to talk about issues that already have Solutions clearly addressed in the word of God does not make sense to me. It sounds to me like you just want to be upset about something. Not trying to be offensive, but I really get frustrated when I see comments like yours. I am a teacher, I am not a Christian teacher. My faith cannot be defined in my profession because the way I contracts are so so does that make me a bad disciple because I don't go around calling myself a Christian teacher? I really think we need to let this argument they reject the Christian label go.
