I have had five babies and baby #5 was the absolute worst out of all five and his labor and delivery was the fastest at 45 minutes from the first contraction until he was in my arms. It depends on so much in regards to how much pain ect mom will feel. Position of baby, if mom has breaks between contractions ect. It all plays a part and has nothing to do with what # of baby it is.

This is probably,one of my most beautiful, home births I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing these precious moment with us. The way your husband went right into acting. No second guessing or freaking out….awesome. How your son, came to see his sister; was so sweet. Absolutely, incredible to see you be so calm and focused during delivery. If either you or hubby was scared, it didn’t show. You are such a strong and brave woman. If I looked and felt this good having a baby, I would post it too. This is a beautiful birthing experience!!! My experience was natural and in a hospital in the mid 90’s. The entire birthing experience was utter hell and I wished for it to be like this birth video before it happened. Congrats!!!!

Just about everyone is perfect for a home delivery, no matter how calm or not they are. It's not up to others to decide who is good for it and who is not. The individuals involved will decide that.

Some people just don’t feel a home birth is for them for a multitude of reasons, some may change their mind for or against, some may feel they want further pain relief and so on. All of those are okay too. I have also seen many women who naturally are anxious for the journey and change ahead as it’s a big thing regardless how it happens, they may choose that themselves or ask for support in making that decision. Informed consent is the thing of course but it’s okay to have help in providing information, options, benefits vs risk and lots more by health care professionals or those they trust. Everyone is different & birth is beautiful in so many different ways 🥰

I also gave normal birth to 3 babies 9.4pounds, 9.5 and 9.5 pounds babies . The longest was 4hrs from first feeling a contraction the rest about 3. Made not a sound, just heavy breathing. The hospital and doctor said I would make the best surrogate mother ever😂.. In all my pregnancies I only gained about 5kgs...I blossomed at being pregnant..no marks,no swollen feet or any blemishes which made the doctor look at me and say he could not understand the little weight gain too but said I looked healthy...Was running around in high heels at work (ground hostess on airport)till the day before the births and it took just about a month to get my tummy flat and firm without any exercise. Just handled pregnancies well,🤷💞

🥰 I could tell you were in active labor with that first contraction in the video. It’s so hard to decide when to call the midwife and others. I’m so glad you got your birth photos! You are so amazing!! You handled that so calmly. Wow. Good job mama!!! I just had my 4th home birth 6 weeks ago. Loved watching this. I try so hard to remember how it feels but it slowly fades as the weeks go by. She was posterior and it was my hardest birth for sure. That was such an efficient labour, my goodness! And you were so composed, Kurin, how do you do it?! Aiden looked like he was such a solid presence for you too. I absolutely screamed the hospital down, the midwives actually had to tell me to stop screaming and focus a little more on pushing 😂 And my other half spewed more than I did hahah 🤦🏼‍♀️ Our first baby though, to be fair! My third was also my quickest! Probably three or four hours from when, , looking back, I could see that my contractions had changed from the Braxton Hicks to regular. But at the time I did not realize that. From when I realize that I was really in labor, he was born in 45 minutes.

My mother had 14 kids including me. I’m the 3rd oldest. She had preemie twins and the older twin only lived 6 weeks. Out of 14 births she had 6 home births and 1 car birth. She never had a midwife. It was just my dad assisting her. When I was 7 she had baby #7 at home in the middle of the night. Me and my 5 siblings were asleep in my parents room that night. I woke up to my mom on her bed giving birth to my brother. I didn’t know if it was okay to watch so I pretended to be asleep. I would peek periodically to see what was happening. That’s how I saw my brother be born. I just remember how alert he was. I was also fascinated with the placenta. Fond memories.
