Thanks for the video, super helpful, but why you did not use prestress option to link the modal and harmonic response?

Hello, I am also working on some rotordynamics analysis project using ANSYS WorkBench. I am having some difficult on Unbalance and Harmonic analysis. Is there any material you would recommend? If so please send me: j175976 dac.unicamp.br

@@JoaoHSP There are lots of books covering rd analysis procedure. But I recommend to you following links to your special application. Dyrobes and turbolab. There are some difficulties because ansys is not specialized on rd analysis especially posprocess. I think you can solve this problem by searching ansys help. Apdl is more capable for rd analysis. You can use apdl commands to implement your application in ansys wb. dyrobes.com/dyrobes-papers/ turbolab.tamu.edu/proceedings/

Hi, thanks for the details! I keep getting an error when trying to solve the harmonics. "Selected remote point location is different from hit point location." But its the same point. Do you know what its about? Thanks - Niels
@teb70022 жыл бұрын
Remote point and hit point need to be same location. May be you can solve it by defining remote point again at same location of hit point. I didn't have this error before.

Did you find the solution?

@@sinakolbadi1621 Nope. Couldnt make it work.

hey ,its showing error,nord not found at hitpoint location?

I have a question, when studying rotor dynamic, we plot campbell diagram. I always see the curves going linear and symmetric, but what happen when the curves aren't linear and symmetric? I'm dealing with a project and I can't explain why one of the curves isn't linear.
@teb70022 жыл бұрын
İt is related to gyroscopic effect and mode shape. İ recommend to read gyroscopic effect, backward and forward whirl.
@zeddg86332 жыл бұрын
@@teb7002 thanks, it's obtained with a fea solver. Foreward whirl curve is good at the beginning and is non linear after. But backward curve is good. I don't know what happen

Very nice work really! But do you know a good manual how to create orbit plots for a rotor?

With this method, ansys gives me following error: selected remote point location is different from hit point location. Do you know the solution?

Hi, thx for the video. Can I draw real bearings and define them as bearings in my simulation?
@teb70022 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. You need to use bearing parameters. Why do you want to use real bearing geometry?
