Vegas has Nebraska by 9.5. These teams have a similar design. Great coaches, big on the run game. I think Nebraska will run. Illinois, not so much.

As an Illini fan, I expect Nebraska to win at home. I’m heading from Austin to Lincoln and may be one of the few in Orange and Blue on Friday night. Hoping Illini can make Raiola look 18 two or three times and we capitalize. Should be fun.

What a great season. Week four Michigan versus USC - Illinois and Nebraska in a battle of ranked unbeatens on Friday night National TV. Iowa Versus My lowly gophers primetime Saturday night. Expanded Big Ten is the show and the parity is on display. Northwestern upsetting washington would be proof of that. Speaking of Northwestern it sure would be cool to see one of their home games on the shores of lake Michigan. How cool is that

Illinois is not running the ball good or good stopping the run and Nebraska can do whatever they want on offense. If Nebraska plays a completely clean game it could be a blowout.

I think it's a more crucial game for the Huskers, being a home game for them. Illini are already halfway to a bowl game, which is what the goal was before the season started. Road games are tough to win in the Big 10.

Illini are very different. As is Nebraska. Your Huskers will win, but you guys are way over your skis in hype. Easy schedule favors you - easy 8 wins. But Ohio State, Wisc, Iowa, USC look like losses.

@@killswitchh I'm not necessarily a Husker fan, but I did absolutely love the Tom Osborne era. Especially against that Switzer fella. I just think Husker fans are so hungry for getting the program back to his era that they get overstimulated by the possibilities. Played nobody this year, yet you are talking as if this team is on the verge of being in the playoffs and the QB is ready to be #1 in the NFL draft. Time will tell, but until he faces a serious defense, I will hold off on the praise. More than a few throws have been to wide open guys, yet under thrown or off target - yet resulted in TD's. A very soft and forgiving defense allowed for this. That will spell disaster against a stout defense. Illinois run defense has been rather soft, but the defensive backs have been way better against the pass vs. last season.

@@jakobemathias I know you're being superfluous but I don't think any Neb fan thinks we're on the verge of being in the playoffs or the QB is #1 in the NFL draft. We do know we have not been tested yet but I'm exited to see Dylan play the full 4 quarters. We'll see how this game goes and I think it's a pretty good litmus test on where we actually are.

14 point barrier at Memorial Stadium are against weak foes. The last strong team to play at Lincoln was Michigan which scored 45. I think Nebraska is very good, but if you choose a small sample size you can usually find an outstanding stat or 2.

The first real challenge for Nebraska this season. Illinois has had its way with the Huskers but not this year. A close game Nebraska wins it 24-20.
