I got one it's a 92 Accord LX, Sedan with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission. I'm scraping it because the floor panel, is rusted out and it's not worth it fixing it the Rear fender well, is also rusted out as well and the bottom part of the doors, is rusted also it's been sitting since September 2010, so I'm not gonna bother to spend any money on it. But I am taking all the parts out for a Manual swap in case I decide I want to get another one in the future it will be a 91 EX model, and if it's Automatic at least I'll have the Manual shifter linkage, Manual pedals assembly, Manual center console, and Manual clutcher Gauges. They're truly build to last forever I used to have a 91 LX I regretted scraping it

Two years ago, I bought a 1999 Honda Accord LX that had 58K miles on it. The car is currently 24 years old, but it doesn't look it's age. It looks more like it's 5-7 years old with minimal wear and tear. I've been underneath the car for oil changes, and there is minimal amounts of rust underneath. It was a one owner car.

Nice Accord, there is something about the simple shape, the nice detailing, the impeccable build quality, it makes most other 1989-1991ish family cars look really dated in comparison. This has just kind of a quiet, timeless, low key sort of look to it. Buddy had one of these in high school, automatic sedan, maybe an LX or EX, I can't remember, had power windows, locks, etc. Even though it had a bunch of miles on it and the paint was falling off it, what impressed me is that it still drove like a new car, handling was great, steering was very tight, felt light, tossable. My 3.8 V6 Buick Regal was faster but drove like a pig compared to the Honda.

he must've had the LX cause anybody that own one of these or knew somebody that had one of these 90-91 EX's had that Sports mode and lock up torque converter along with that engine you would'nt of had no chance, obviously it wasn't tune properly, but in that car's prime it would've drugged you, those cars was capable of reaching 140 mph. i had many looking at the back end of my 1991 Accord Ex sedan aka "black stallion"

Nice car. I've had a 1987, a 1991-(Like your friend's only mine was white w/Blue interior) & a 2000 Honda Accord EX. They are such fantastic cars. My 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 is my daily driver car & it currently has 350,000 miles on it & it still runs & looks like brand new with the original engine, original transmission & I wouldn't trade my Accord for anything.

Tahvyy- I too had a 1990 Accord Dx coupe 5 speed manual my junior and senior year in high school. Loved that thing and miss it to this day . I've since moved on to late model American muscle (I have a 2016 corvette Z06 manual, a 2018 Camaro Zl1 6 speed manual, and a 2016 Cadillac ctsv 8 spd auto. I prefer the more simple times tbh

Pretty. I have a 2003 Civic coupe with just 22k on it. Garaged its whole life and just started driving it again and it's perfect. 41 mpg on the highway and looks brand new

Tyson Hugie I shared this on FB and my friend was wondering if the transmission needed any work/replacing along with shocks. After all, those are wear and tear, just like tires and wiper blades.

Yes I think the transmission should probably be serviced - to me it shifts a little bit harshly. But my experience with Honda automatics is very limited and I know that even on the Legends, the 1-2 shift is very abrupt so perhaps it's somewhat "normal." Suspension wise everything feels OK on this one.

I just bought an Arcadia Green '93 EX 5-speed with 226k that is *almost* this perfect. I don't have maintenance records, but I have a damn good reason. The owner was a Honda tech at a dealership, so whatever it needed it *got* , including oil changes every 3k. He just got done installing one new drive axle, distributor, and ABS pump.

Wow, what an immaculately perfect Accord! My family bought a Seattle silver EX-R sedan (Canadian equivalent of US EX model) brand new in 1991. I learned to drive on this car. Was such a solid well built car. Sadly we had to part ways with it in 2010 after 19 years and around 230,000 km or so driven. The body was rusting out pretty bad but the engine still ran like new. Smoothest 4 cylinder engine I've ever experienced. Wish we kept it in better condition.

I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX Sedan in Seattle Silver. I’ve only had it for 4 months. It is a manual transmission. You don’t have to have the documentation to have a great well maintained car. But it is kind of neat to have it.

Take good care of a Honda and it will take good care of you for many hundreds of miles. Honda knows how to engineer a good, reliable car. I had a third gen Prelude si that was well taken care of, garage kept, all service records. I was the second owner. I got it at only 65,000 miles, still running like a brand new car, never had an issue with it. Unfortunately I had to sell it and my heart is still broken 6 years later. I hope the new owner is taking good care of her.

My aunt bought her 1990 Honda Accord LX sedan brand new in 1989. She owned it til 2013 when she sold it with 275,000 miles and a leaking oil pan that she kept on having to fix. Other than that, no major issues. I loved the burgandy interior cloth seats she had. She also had 1999 Honda Civic LX sedan, she was the 3rd owner since 2006 and kept it til she was rear ended in 2016. If it wasnt totaled she would still be driving it now. She currently owns a 2016 toyota RAV4 LE. Her son also had a 1997 Honda Prelude Si that he took care of til it had oil pan leaks and sold it then bought a 1996 Honda Civic DX hatch that he still drives currently as his daily driver. Her daughter also had a new 2007 Honda accord LX in 2006 and kept it til the engine had issues in 2017 she traded it in for a 2018 Dodge Challenger SXT

Wow. That's awesome. Does he clean underneath it too? It would be interesting to see. There's no swirl marks on the paint! Not even the headlights are cloudy! I love it when someone keeps a car stock and in new condition. I don't keep mine that long but I always try to keep mine looking new. Every year I pull the wheels off and clean the insides.
