Love, love, love Corten steel. The patina is beautiful. This is my favorite tiny home that you have shown. Hey Kerry, I live on Maui. I asked you about who delivers to Maui a few months back and you answered. As you might have heard, we had a devastating fire that completely wiped out the town of Lahaina, killing over 100 people and counting. Within less than two weeks, a company called Continest brought in,on a C17, 85 prefab box homes. The set up is with a crane pulling a flat pack up to form the box. It looks like it is instant set up. We now have a tiny village that can house 250 displaced persons.

See U in the next one bro. Look forward to the follow up. Cheers 💜💯 Btw, it’s a great house design but maybe the way to solve any undesirable “fishbowl effect” might be to consider putting in tinted or mirror reflective windows for privacy. Otherwise it’s a great little house. The cost is a little expensive but it’s probably a good choice for a rich guy that just wants some peace of mind living in a quality structure out in the wilderness.🐬

Probably needs a septic tank that you need to pump out once a year, drill a well for water and get the utility company to bring electricity to that location … and don’t forget to have somebody install the footing down to frost line.. this will add costs, however the home is still a sweet option as a second home. Go Kerry...a super duper rocking good vid ...LOVED it . What a nice place to live or visit. i ALSO love all those windows in THAT area AND it is a fact in this neck of the woods. (PNW) THAT LOTS OF FOLKS have homes like that where they are not feeling "exposed" or with homes too close there is lack of privacy...and some also are surrounded by trees .... so in these kinds of areas that kind of home would be perfect . Also it's the first one that small (in terms of sq feet), that looked like it might actually work well where the lay out and storage potential appears to be so well designed leaving more useable space.. So where usually i think i need at least 900 sq ft. I can actually imagine this could work. thank you for your fun video.

With mostly half basic interior/ exterior selections, the price with delivery is $387,412. That is very steep for such a small house. Most parts of the country can get a house for much less than with the land already included. Unless I am doing this wrong on the website.
@user-wo5nx7sg4b Жыл бұрын
No. You are spot on. It makes next to no sense financially. Even in some of the more expensive parts of the US, you can build a larger home with custom materials relatively speaking for less.
@WeTubule Жыл бұрын
In addition, that price isn't useful for comparison. Other houses include a foundation, yard, and septic, electric, and other utility systems. Depending on distance from the road, vegetation to be cleared, rock to be blasted, etc, this house could actually cost closer to $500,000 than $400,000.

At over $600/SF, these models (while beautiful) are a horrible value. Just copy their floorplan and build it yourself. That cost per square foot is a gigantic budget, considering it doesn't even include land and site improvements. I love the idea, the form factor, and the beautiful design elements; but you guys are crazy at that price.

Prices are high probably cause they don't get a lot of orders. If more people were to buy prefab instead of overpriced low-quality rough houses we would see a decrease in tiny houses sale prices

Did they talk about off-grid living in the forrest with potential for forest fires in and around the home? I have lived off-grid for fifteen years on 165 acres. A beautiful stylish building that is sure to attract a stream of millennials to the middle of nowhere to take pictures of themselves. The simplicity makes them think "see, I could live in a beautiful place if I just give up...." Unfortunately the truth is this little box of premium features and finishes costs more than the conventional homes you can't afford and all those windows get their attraction from views that are WAY out of your price range in any of the urban or suburban locations you are willing to live in. This has essentially the accommodations of a "park model" (a manufactured home classification popular in the US for it's tax status). If you actually can afford one of these while living in a remote location there are ~37ft sailing catamarans that cost about the same for the same small high quality features, and the views out the window are literally the best in the world.

Unless you've tried it, you have no idea how awful sleeping lofts are. And dangerous. Need to take a leak in the middle of the night, drowsy and groggy? Look how dangerous the ladder is. With a lot that size, there is no logical reason not to go with a one story house.

This is the one!! I would purchase this one out off all the homes you’ve shown. This one was the most incredible well thought out build! Thanks for all the info!

The home is very nice. Although small, I did not have the impression the design would make someone feel confined. It was a great video. Thank you.

I like the river view. :D lots of windows. The interior has kind of a warmer look to it with that style of wood.
