With that 4inch ball valve, if you heat it up with a hot air gun the glued pipe will peel out takes a little while but it does work, ask Lee hadfield he does it with his, Be cheaper than getting a rubber boot! Keep up the good work mate

Just an idea but why don’t you keep a spreadsheet of your total build costs for the new grow on pond, nothing technical just three columns, item name, item individual cost and then a running cost total in column 3, just feel it may help people get into the hobby and build a pond, just an idea mate.

I think you should grow out a mirror carp in your pond. Catch a wild one and raise it with the koi.
@richd-koi9 ай бұрын
I've said the same too mate maybe not a wild one tho. Ordered a mirror myself coming soon lovely scales on it.

Forgive me if I’m missing something obvious, but could you not simply t-off the filtration of the main pond and pump that water into the grow on pond? The advantages for me would be common consistent water quality between the two ponds, which has got to be a good thing for the younger fish coming through.
@JamesTHEKOIwhisperer1239 ай бұрын
Great idea but there is one huge down side to that and that is adding new koi New koi can come with parasites problems bacteria issues. There are many things when adding new fish that cause problems and you really need two separate systems. Your idea would work but not a good idea. For a grow on pond adding new koi
