Cute cubs. Any idea what is the formation on Nstevu pride these days?. One group is in londolozi and another in mala mala but how many lionesses in each group and the number of cubs?. Also any other group anywhere else?

core pride has 8 to 9 females and last i heard 12 cubs i think, the breakaways are 2 females with 2 of the last Birmingham males offspring

I believe lions prioritize their food above all else, even more than their cubs. While they are willing to risk their lives to protect their young, when there are food shortages, it is the cubs who suffer and may even starve to death.

Would be nice if some real information about the status of the lionesses and cubs in Londolozi could be provided. Also, what about the lioness (original K) who died, who had vultures descending on her? Cubs? I thought maybe they could squeeze themselves in with other litters for milk drinks. But lionesses will NOT always nurse their pride sister cubs. Recently 1 Kambula tried to beat up the cub of another, until the cub's mom intervened. I think that was in Mala Mala, on social media.
