Finally a video with a responsible owner that walks their dogs. I have typed "a day with my rottweiler" and almost all the videos I got was with owners that literally refuses to walk their dogs. They let their rottweilers run in the backyard all day and thats it. Its insane!

I have been using a very stout harness, and able train with it so far. I did jog with her a bit in our daily walks so loved it. Other dogs makes her forget her training. I found leash work very easy so far with new Rott. So much good info here, my dog thanks you for making me a better owner.

I have a 13 weeks old Rottweiler/Bernese Mountain Dog mix (more Rottweiler visually) and sometimes I feel like it's hard to get his attention or that he is oriented to me through eye contact even though we yet have a strong bond. Just asking why are such big chains used when walking? They would seem to hinder any corrections that are needed. I walked 2 full grown rottis just using a loose thin check chain.
@CSR_mufc3 жыл бұрын
Fluffy did awesome in his walk bc hes walked with Collin since a pup so hes basically fully trained, and Jr did create some difficulties but nothing unusual; hes just a pup. I wouldn't say the chain has smth to do with Jr hindering, hes just new to being walked. The size of the neck chain is just personal choice in my opinion.🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
@TheRottyRanch3 жыл бұрын
This is actually a pretty lightweight chain... Didn't seem to bother him, he just likes carrying his own leash :D

Great video! My 9 week old rotty was doing great walking around my neighborhood for about a week. Just a couple of days ago he does not want to go pass our front lawn. FYI he did not have a bad experience on our walks. Any tips ?
@CSR_mufc3 жыл бұрын
I would say to play in the front lawn and a little more further to make your rotty know that there is nothing wrong with passing ur front lawn, therefore making them feel safer; unless hes avoiding it bc there might be smth that he is allergic to.🤷🏽♂️ Also maybe letting ur rotty smell a treat he likes, then you walk further down the street (to where you walked a good distance), and then giving the treat.

Hello, Junior and Flaffy doing great🥳 I have a female rottie of 2 years and 7 months and I walk her one hour in the morning and two hours in the evening. when I let her off the leash to run away, when she comes back to me, she accelerates and jumps at me and bites the leash and tries to take off the muzzle and I don't know why. Lately, she doesn't listen to me very much, she gets easily distracted and when I call her from a distance she also jumps on me, bites the leash, and try take off the muzzle. Why do you think she does that? I live in the city and I can't let her off the leash everywhere because in France a leash and a muzzle are obligatory. My leash is one meter long, maybe it's too short? Thank you😀

The dog shouldn't be telling you when to jog. You should be telling the dog when to jog 🙁And you should always train your dog to walk beside you, not pulling in front of you

Hi, I just got my 9 week old Rotty named Rocco one week ago. He learns very quickly but we’ve been having issues while walking him. He gets stubborn and sits a lot, lays down a lot, or refuses to go in the same direction as me sometimes and decides he wants to go off in another direction instead. He’s gotten a better at listening to me when I tell him “No Rocco, this way”, however he still has a lot of stubborn moments where he just refuses to walk. I’ve tried giving him treats and what he does is walk a bit to get it, then tries to go right back where he was before. How can I curb this stubbornness?
@hazomaa183 жыл бұрын
I think run with him .. make it exciting for him.. wait for him a bit.. taking a toy maybe.. lefting him to your arm and run with him as kind of playing.. Just focus in communicating with in any way so he would listen to and be excited to do the next thing... Then at the end if you couldn't do it .. the time will do it for you.. after a while he would be excited for other things but... Just be careful that it is not bad things he would focus on... Hope I helped..

Yeah but you have lovely open spaces to walk them.. That's imperative.. Here in 🇮🇳I'm flabbergasted as to why people keep them in cities where you need "open spaces " to walk them.. Well a walkie is what every doggie loves...!!!

You want to learn how to walk the dogs yourself before you try and teach someone else. The dog stops biting the lead because you have given the dog what he wants which is telling the dog they are the alpha male, never ever should you have to run with a dog because they want to run, ive had rottweilers all my life and sorry to say but is clear you have not got a clue about the breed.
