Unbelievable story of a 1973 Mustang Mach 1

I also have a '73 Mach 1. I was 16 when this car was new, but I was a junior in high school and couldn't afford one. Of course, my buddy just down the road got one, beautiful blue with silver stripes. Fast forward, I retired, and ran across the restored '73 yellow with black stripes and black hood car I own now. I even got to take my buddy, who owned the blue one back in 1973, for a ride in it before he passed. Brings back a lot of memories, my wife and I now enjoy going to cruise ins and car shows.

Had a yellow and black with the 351CJ. Went to boot camp in '87 had to leave it at my buddies moms. Had a hard time getting ahold of my buddy during that 8 weeks, when i got out I went straight to his mom's. Turns out, my buddy joy rode it for a few weeks before himself leaving for boot camp back east. He parked my car in a Ralph's grocery parking lot in Yorba Linda, CA, and it was towed and then auctioned the week before I got out of boot camp. Never saw my car again, had no way of tracking it down. Still stings to think about it.

This was an awesome family story. I’ve owned two Mustangs (2014 pony, 2018 be ecoboost w/wheel and store package + 101A). Both are great cars, which I more mildly to improve performance and handling. Will keep my 2018 as long as I can because they don’t make 6 speed manuals for Ecoboost anymore.

Great story, lovely family! I love these cars, I have a 72 Mustang Sprint sportsroof and I swear I will never sell it; it will be mine until the day I die (or at least to the day they come to cart me away...)

I owned a 73 mach mustang oretty blue white interior that baby could run i got it as a classic fron a guy after he saw i could handle it i was at the end of 11th grade love love my mustang ❤❤❤

What a Beautiful story I have the same Mach 1 same color and design, only difference is mine has factory sidepipes , AC but without the fold down seat. and a white Pony coupe.

Well if that motor is stock it's a gutless turd Chevy Ford Dodge all of them in 73 had no performance whatsoever so hopefully they at least put a high performance cam in it and raise the compression up with some pop-up Pistons to get some performance out of that motor I'm assuming it's a 351 Cleveland could be a Weezer I don't know you never asked the owners that question ❓
