This video kind of makes me feel angry. Not at you, but at these companies who could easily donate these items to children’s hospitals, group homes for foster children, etc. I wonder how many dumpsters get filled with stuff like this that never gets “rescued” and is brought to the dump. My son spent 11 nights in the hospital this spring and is now a St. Jude patient. Items like you found (the big ones and small ones) bring them a moment of joy and seeing that joy in their child (even if it’s brief) also brings joy to the parents. And I would imagine group homes could always use stuff like this for birthdays, rewards, celebrations, & just restocking toys. It’s a shame that companies do this!

I work for a grocery store and it is corporate that does not allow people to take things which will be thrown out.

Believe it or not, a big reason is because of lawsuits. Let's say a kid chokes on one of those toys, parents sue the company. Can't blame these big companies.

That’s a flawed excuse to say they “won’t donate for fear a child might choke and sue the company “….. well if the items they are selling are “that dangerous” surely they’re breaking the law by selling them!! Bit of devil’s advocate there, but the way you put it anyone could go and purchase a toy from a store and donate it to say their local children’s home or hospital. Then it would be upto the home or hospital to consider which child or children were age appropriate for the item and if there was an accident…..it wouldn’t be the store you bought it from who gets sued nor even the person who donated it nor the charity ( if it was donated by them). When does a store become liable for a product they sell or donate?! And unless it’s the store branded goods you wouldn’t have a clue where it had come from. It’s an excuse stores and companies have used for years and most people are wise to it now I think.

Fantastic finds Nicole. Many years ago women would hide their jewelry in the fake books, then add it to the other books on the shelf, and no one knew. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️. I agree. Even a women's shelter would be good as the women usually leave in a hurry with the kids, taking mostly clothes and toiletries. So the shelters can use toys.

I found those same water bottles a few years ago in a Michael's dumpster. About 5 boxes of them. Sold them to someone who had names printed on them and given them as wedding gifts to attendees

The letters to Santa is so cool !! The kid writes a letter and "sends" it off, then you can shrink it and Santa returns it to have as an ornament ! Very nice !!

Fantastic Score! I wouldn't mind finding 4 or 5 of those magnetic boards. I would make an interactive toy box out of them. Using a piece of plywood for the bottom and putting casters on the box to make it easy to move around. Give your fur babies hugs and kisses for me. Well done guys, I'm 49 but would love sitting painting the wooden cars, play with sand. Some folk say I'm being like a baby but I love toys, especially from 80s era, I'm so jealous.
