You are SOOoooo amazing: funny, charming, kind, intelligent, curious, life-loving and the list goes on. You are the perfect buddy. Also, thanks for the tip about Evil Genius on netflix. I hate navigating through 90% of the garbage to find something worth watching. Gonna check it out. By the way, you are especially useful for shut-ins, giving the feeling of friendship and bonding, yet it is totally illusory, LOL! Love your stuff. Super interesting -- I like how you view the world around you. Cheers, from Canada.

Thank you for this blog, Jordan! The Hollywood Cross is one of my earliest memories, from the early 1950's. It was lit up at night and mom told me about the hikes up to it on Easter Sunday morning. I always wanted to go. There is an old amphitheater near there, built in the 1920's, possibly on the site of the Pilgrimage Theater that burned down. It is now called the Ford Ampitheater and can best be described as Biblical Craftsman in style. It underwent an extensive restoration about 20-25 years ago. I went to a concert there about 13 years ago. In the twenties, an annual pageant play, about the life of Christ, was performed there at Easter. The Director was Reginald Pole, lover of ceramic artist Beatrice Wood, and father of Rupert Pole, writer Anais Nin's west coast husband. I still have Linda Goodman's book, "Linda Goodman's Sun Signs." She was one of the most interesting astrological writers around.

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOUR DOG. HE REMINDS ME OF MY DOLLY, WHO IS WAVING AT THE CAMERA. I THINK ANIMALS ARE SO INTELLIGENT ,ESPECIALLY LITTLE DOGS. THEY'RE JUST LIKE CHILDREN ,REGARDLESS OF SIZE OR IF THEY'RE ANY ANIMAL. CATS ARE VERY INTELLIGENT AND OUR DOLLY USE TO TELL HER FELINE SIBLINGS OFF, IF THEY WERE ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER (THEY WERE RED WELL, BUT SPOILED ROTTEN, INCLUDING DOLLY). I LOVE WATCHING YOUR BOY, AS WE HAD TO DO THE SAME WITH OUR GIRL. SHE WAS FRIGHTENED TO GO INTO A LAKE ,AFTER INADVERTENTLY FALLING INTO A DEEP END , BUT NATURALLY SWAM BACK, BUT SHOOK UP. SHE JUST GOT INTO HER HEAD THAT SHE WAS GOING TO PLAY WITH THE OTHER DOGS, BUT BEING SHORT NEITHER HER OR US WERE AWARE OF THE DROP. IT SURPRISED US,AS MUCH AS IT DID HER. I TOLD HER AT LEAST SHE WOULDN'T NEED A WASH, AS SHE ALREADY HAD A BATH. SHE HATED HER ☔ SHOWERS, AFTER HER INITIAL LIKE OF IT. AFTER HER CALL IN THE POND, SHE HATED HAVING A SHOWER. SHE WOULD LET ME DO IT, BUT WAS RELUCTANT TO LET ME FINISH. I WOULD WRAP A TOWEL AND BLANKET AROUND HER AND HAVE HER ON MY LAP TO DRY HER AND WARM HER UP. WE MISS ALL OUR BABIES, BUT DOLLY PLAYED A HUGE ROLE IN OUR LIVES. SHE WAS VERY UNIQUE AND SHE HAD SUCH A BRIGHT PERSONALITY LIKE YOUR DOG ACTING MORE HUMAN AT TIMES. SHE COULD SAY NO AND YES , AND TRIED OTHER WORD'S LIKE MUM. SHE ALMOST GOT THERE. HER DEATH HAD ALL DOG'S HOWLING WITH OTHER STRANGE HOWLS, AS WE TOOK HER BACK TO BE CREMATED. A SO-CALLED FRIEND THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO LOOK AFTER HER , COULDN'T AFTER SHE SAID SHE COULD. MY DOLLY PINED FOR ME SO MUCH, BECAUSE SHE COULDN'T STAY WITH ME THAT SHE STARTED HERSELF TO DEATH. I WAS GUTTED. I KNEW SHE WOULDN'T COPE WITHOUT ME, WHEN WE GOT SHOVED INTO THIS HOTEL. I STILL MISS HER, LIKE I MISS OUR DAUGHTER, AND GRANDCHILDREN, AND OUR FURRY BABIES.

I think it if fantastic how much you love architecture of these gorgeous homes. I hope inspires everyone to think outside the box when buying or building a home. Of course it doesn't have to be on a grand scale as these estates. Even a 1 or 2 bedroom could be so lovely and unique. People can obviously can spend their own money any which way they choose, but I detest cookie cutter homes. I think I'm allergic to them lol!

Whitley Heights (just on the other size of the highway) are filled with houses where the first generation of movie stars lived, but which are tiny compared to the kinds of houses the rich and famous inhabit these days. Still, they're beautiful, filled with personality and lore, and set on those windy, overgrown streets that set the imagination running. Honestly, if I had the kind of money where buying a house like that was even a possibility, I'd still choose the glass box contemporary, as the Hollywood Dell houses can seem a bit _darling,_ but I can certainly still appreciate their beauty.

Linda Goodman was a brilliant astrologer and her books on the subject went on to be best sellers. I've read two, sun signs and star signs, highly recommend both. Wanted to read a third but is out of print and extremely difficult to get your hands on one. I wouldn't doubt that there are truths to her claims. Alot goes on that the most of us are not aware of. BTW Jordan u r awesome as well as Jah!! 😀✌💝🙏

Great vlog. You do dig up some strange stuff sometimes. I've never heard of any of this. Very interesting. I don't know if I believe there's a tunnel under the mountain or not. It's possible. I'm glad you checked before you went hiking up the mountain. Don't want to get into trouble. I think it's kind of strange that the theater bunt down a few years after the lady died. Makes you wonder. Thank Jordan for doing this story and I can't wait to see what you have for us tomorrow. You and Jah take care.

Love the Egyptian story and a certain body part being somewhere on the hillside. Yet another great story from you a great storyteller. When you showed us the rose bushes planted below the gas station sign and then showed the sign with the cost of gasoline I nearly jumped out of my chair. Do Californians know they are paying twice the national average for a gallon of gasoline. The world markets are swimming in oil. The USA is now an oil exporter.....what gives Cali?

Great Vid. Darn PC culture these days.. I'm surprised the cross is still there. In Eugene we had a giant War Memorial cross up on a prominent hill which was a staple of Eugene for Decades, voted on by the people.... it was taken down in recent history due to a handful of people complaining it offended them.

Linda Goodman was a very eccentric person. Back in the 1960's, she was a celebrity as an astrologer. I still have her paperback, "Linda Goodman's Sun Signs," an entertaining read. Then, her daughter went missing and so did Linda, in an effort to find her. Then Linda resurfaced. I didn't know the daughter was dead. I'm sorry Linda died broke and victimized by con artists. This idea about the Osiris relic wasn't her first bizarre one, by far.

Interesting story about that woman Linda Goodman who thinks there is treasure or passage ways or whatever beneath that cross mountain. It's kind of like when Geraldo Rivera decided to check out Al Capones vault and see if he could find anything like money, or a dead body or whatever he and several people went into the vault and all was there was like wine bottles. How embarrassing 😆
