Unbiased and Unsponsored Review of the Alu-Cab LT-50

So I've seen some videos float around about the Alu-cab LT 50 but still lacking some great information from first hand experience. Having owned this roof top tent for the last 4 months gives me a perspective like no other other as of this date. I used this roof top tent during the Tropical Storm Hilary up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains - The Rubicon Trail. I used this 3 nights in a row and in 2 of those nights, it was pouring rain and hail.

Great video. Have been seriously thinking of buying this one for my rig. I’m 5’11” and really love the slim profile of this. I think I’d be able to fit it into my garage.

Nice review. I was really hoping this was going to be the perfect RTT, but unfortunately it's just too small in my opinion. I understand they were trying to keep weight down, but it's almost comically small. I love the build quality of their tents and If they had something between this and their Gen 3R model I think they'd sell a ton of them. Same or similar footprint of the 3R, but slim it down height wise and remove some of the "luxury features" (internal solar wiring, tiltable mattress, etc).

I’ll have to measure exact height at open. However, it’s plenty of room. I’m 6’1
