I love daniel smith watercolors but im no fan of the case for this. For a high quality paint, the case should be better. At least the lid should have some mixing spaces built in. I do like the extra empty pans tho. When i add colors to my collection, i often test them with my other tried ans true go to colors to see what inlike best.

I feel the same. DS paints are amazing, but the company really made a lousy decision on the case.

So, if they are "hand poured" will we paint better? That's a dumb task that can be automated? That's the "Daniel Smith" bullshit... 10x the price because of hand jobs or something, which, to be honest looking at those pans, I don't even believe they are actually hand poured...

Hand poured = they pressed the button by hand ... to the machine that poured it. Either that or they have a mold they press into it to result in that uniform shape
