Unbox Something: A Wild Boar...YES, a WILD BOAR. D20's Bonestabber to be exact.

I was absolutely in love with my D20 Studios grey "White Bone Wolf" (check out the video elsewhere on this channel!), so naturally I had to pre-order D20's brown "Bonestabber Giant Wild Boar" the second it was announced. A few months later, it finally arrived at the start of the year, so here's my take on this much-anticipated beastie. For whatever reason, I clearly gravitate to animals, monsters, and other non-human action figures, but I also get a little uppity when it comes to the quality of sculpt, deco, and the overall design of the toys on my shelf. Spoiler alert: this thing made the cut!!! Calling my shot...shoulda been on my top toy list of 2022, but since I got it a little late, it'll be one of my favorite toys of 2023. ✌🏾➕✊🏾

Thanks man. I figure y'all don't wanna stare at my dry, unkempt hands. Hahaha. Seriously, I love these D20 creatures. They do solid work. They definitely take up space, but they also create interest and contrast on the shelf. I'm moving towards setting up my shelves as environments / scenes, and these are great for that. ✌🏾➕✊🏾

You’ve introduced me to the whole idea of having a mount for a great figure. I never would have taken much notice of horses, wolves and boars but man when these things are armed up and have a rider they look so cool. Great sculpt on this guy! Still love your dino rider inspired T-Rex.

Yup. I love having visual variety on the shelf, and the occasional character on or next to a creature is great. I’m gonna take your lead and start creating little foam structures to give my shelf a little more of an environment, and can’t wait to see these creatures next to those. Summer plans!!! Right? When I came across the wolf and finally got it in hand, my brain kept screaming: "NEXT LEVEL." If / when they release new ones, it's gonna be hard to resist. They take up space for sure, but they also create interesting moments on the shelves. ✌🏾➕✊🏾

Mine was from 5k too. Did you do the second payment? I had a little hiccup trying to use my $10 rewards earned from other purchases, which delayed mine. I actually should've gotten it in hand before the new year, but I waited to hear back from them to settle that silly issue. Really, it should've / could've shipped a while back. Man, I've only been able to check out that game from afar because I don't have a platform that'd work with it. But anything set in the Hyborian Age is right up my alley, and yes, this definitely looks like its ripped from that world. This thing is amazing. ✌🏾➕✊🏾

💯 I think that’s what these newer companies need to hear. If they come up with unique concepts that can fit right into our collections, many of us would throw down. Basically, fill the gaps that other toy lines just can’t. And this is better than doing unlicensed stuff and, I assume, committing to a whole new line of figures. The D20 wolf and boar are perfect for working into Masterverse, Mythic Legions, and some NECA and McFarlane shelves. And they’re gorgeous stand alone toys. I just hope they consider a different direction with some of the armor, or consider selling plain unarmored versions of the boar and future stuff the way they offered options of the wolf. I’d be more likely to get multiples that way. Really appreciate you checking out the channel and commenting! There’s definitely more on the way. ✌🏾➕✊🏾

Yeah…I’d totally throw down for stripped down versions. Love them better this way, since it shows off all the delicious sculpted and painted details that went into this thing. I think I’ll follow @Riverswifticon’s lead and use the armor from this and my wolf on another toy. (He rocks it with those dewbacks.)
