Unbox Something: Ever Wun-Dar what it'd look like to go from Origins to Masterverse?

I actually shot this back on Sept. 20, so it’s a bit delayed. Special thanks to 16 Bit Misfit for hooking me up this Wun-Dar Origins figure that I’d tried for back in June. Yup, I was one of the folx who had their order canceled in that June 24 Wun-Dar debacle that will forever be remembered for the code “Wun-Dar10,” so I was glad to finally get a figure of my own to mess with. So this is me transforming him into a quick and dirty Masterverse figure. I’ll work on him some more, but I mainly wanted to once again put out there that Origins and Masterverse are VERY compatible lines. I have NO idea why Mattel doesn’t market them this way, but with the recent Eternia playset, I think they’re starting to FINALLY get hip to this. It’s a no-brainer to me. Let MOTU fans know that there’s a lot of possible interchangeable parts between these lines, and that many of the vehicles do work with both. It’ll only push the Masterverse folx to buy some Origins, and maybe get some people to open their minds about going the other way. Anyway, happy to have Wun-Dar represented in my Masterverse collection. I’ll post an update whenever I get around to doing some painting and other tweaks.

Yup. I figure it adds focus to the fig *and* the viewer’s not subject to my bad manicure. Ha. The sticky fur details on this beast actually tore up my gloves twice while reviewing.

oh - dear, well im glad it all worked for you there in the end and you got a Wun- Dar there ok, ☺ but yes im just awaiting my second in the Made to order sale there a while back. so Wun to open ah, shall we say.

but yes when i get my second MV 40th He-Man there, ill be using that as a base of sorts for my ah, MV Wun-Dar Custom there, but using the MV Zodac armor, and the boots off a MV Jitsu. ☺

That’s a great way to go. You gotta show me your technique for taking off the boots and skirts from MV figs.

Wundar looks dope with that warhammer and dual daos 🔥Bummer that armor didn’t quite fit right… 🫤 You figure out a work around yet? A black poly band (a mini rubber band for hair) through the hole and around the peg might work and still look good. A bag of 250 Goody brand poly-bands is like $3 at Target.

Thanks again! The armor is all good…just *st-re-tch-ed*. I could do the workaround, but it works. I want to do something with soft goods…his back’s too exposed for my taste. I like your idea tho.

@@BrickSomething YW 🤙🏾 Give it a go; IDK how long that harness would last stretched to it’s limits. As far as covering the back, I agree. A fur cape/shawl/pelt of some kind would definitely suit Wun Dar - maybe something from the 4H Legions line… 🤔

I alsoade my own masterverse. Wun dar but I used masterverse. Zodak armor re painted it. And the head of. 40th aniversary he man head on a viking he man Bodie. What hammer is that one you used I like it

Yeah, your way likely fits much better. The Origins armor is cool, but a little tight. I wanna say I ordered the Wun-Dar well before the Zodac was announced. I’d love to check your work out.
