So that is how large the 1/00 scale is! It sure is large...

no detail but it's huge, i have the 1/100 DC10...Doyusha plastic model and it has much more panel detailing; but much smaller than the Jumbo........ that is just a shop display model and is way too large for no detailing at all, it looks very unrealistic but the DC10 looks awesome with weathering............ to me 1/200 looks just a little too small i would go for 1:144

Yes, 1:100 scales are primarily for shop displays or venues. Definitely less detail compared to smaller scale models.

Is it wing super flex
@sueddo2634 Жыл бұрын
If I understand correctly, the wings are in a flexed position for the model as it's in flight mode. However, if you're asking if the wings can flex, then no. The wings are hard plastic and are not flexible.

I bought this during a sale and got it for around 450$ after tax at the Boeing store website!

Is it worth the price Boeing charges? They are so spensive.
@sueddo26346 ай бұрын
It heavily depends on what you’re expecting. Compared to 1:200 scale I think the quality and detail is much worse so if you buy it for that you will be disappointed. If you buy it for the size I think it’s pretty worth it as it’s significantly bigger than anything else you can buy. The problem for me and almost everyone is that it’s so big I don’t really have a good place to display it and make it blend in with the room.

@@sueddo2634I have never bought a plane like this but always wanted one. And I want the best of both worlds. Is there one with really good detail and at 1 100 size? I assume not, and if not would you explain some of the differences between the 1 200 and 1 100 other than obvious size? Not asking for a lot, just the basics. Only if you have time, thanks!!

@@Kurt747 The biggest detail differences between 1:100 and 1:200 planes is that a lot of the sensors, domes, lights, and fins that you find on the fuselage and on the engines won't be present on the 1:100 models (as in these are usually 3D and actual metal/rubber on 1:200 and just part of the sticker or painting on the 1:100 models). I'm fine with this because 1:100 models are usually displayed in commercial buildings where you're looking at the plane from afar vs 1:200 models that are usually in your home right next to your desk. Another key difference is that 1:100 models are usually made out of resin and 1:200 models (high quality ones) are made out of diecast. To me, diecast/metal just looks more real (especially around the engines and turbines) vs resin. But, resin is normal/acceptable since a 1:100 diecast plane would be astronomically heavy. Lastly, something I noticed is that since certain 1:100 models are hand painted, the details are just not exactly up to standards compared to 1:200 models (around 95% of the way there). Best way I can describe it is if you're watching a video in 1080P vs 4k. I only own this 1:100 model so I can't say for sure if most others are more/less detailed but with general confidence I don't think the quality is going to be significantly better/worse across 1:100 models. Happy to answer any other questions you have since buying a 1:100 model is VERY expensive.

@@sueddo2634That answered everything perfectly. I dont own any models and just getting started and its confusing. I could not have asked for any better description. Thank You very much, its appreciated.

@@Kurt747 Absolutely, it's definitely an expensive hobby to get into so as a collector the least I can do is help others interested.

I liked the comparison between the scales as I only have a few 1/100 smaller aircraft like F-100 and Q-400 and 1 B 737-8 ❤️❤️❤️

Great to hear the comparison helped John! I do have an Alaska 1/100 737 and that was still much smaller than this model.
