Hey guys i have been swimming most of my live, but ive never swam competitively or even measured my time. In a lot of swimming videos i have heard about "tapering" before swim meets. I understand that this essentially refers to a special preparation period, to get your body ready, but i was wondering what that looks like in practice. Like what is the difference between workouts/diet/lifestyle during the season and the tapering period?
