I feel like just a couple years ago, these Batman sets were only $2 per car, and you could find them decently stocked at my local Walmarts and targets. Jump to today, and you can pretty much never find these on the store shelves. And I'm hearing you say the price point has jumped up to almost $4 per car. And it's hard ordering these online, especially because even though the price has gone up, the quality control on paint definitely hasn't. Not fun paying $4 plus for a Hot Wheels where the character painted on the side is crooked, missed the proper lines, chunks of paint missing etc.

You’re remembering correctly in that this line was cheaper in the past and were much easier to find. This new Silver Line of cars (Batman, Fast and Furious, etc) do have more/better tampos, nicer wheels, and some metal body/metal chassis cars mixed in too. While I wish they were a bit cheaper, I will commend Hot Wheels for at least giving us more detail and more metal for the price hike. But I’m also with you on the quality control and distribution issues. If I’m paying jacked up eBay prices the cars better be mint! Paying eBay prices and then having the car arrive chipped or with off-set tampos is an angering experience.

I like the new Batman series. Solid Muscle looks good in Robin themed colors. The Fusions looks fantastic in Police design, and would love to have a 2022 Batmobile with a Metal base. Already have the JDM set. Good stuff. I slice along the side of the plastic part of the blister like if it was a doggy door flap to keep the card art intact. I can also store the car away again just by taping up the sides. I said it before, but the Mazda Cosmo looks a lot better once you customize the front and rear fenders like the real car has. The red Skyline is pretty awesome. The Starlett is a cute little car. Nice color. CRX looks good in two tone style. NSX is alright. I have better looking versions.

Is the red Batmobile cracked on the bottom?

It kind of looks like that but it’s a dark line in the plastic from the chassis mold. That happens sometimes with the lighter colored plastic as it doesn’t hide the mold process as well.
