20mm is the "one true scale" for wargamming, there are 1,000's of boxes out there , the problem is you are either unaware of them or don't consider them valid

Nice unboxing and good review. I've just looked up the price! For that money I'd expect better quality control, no flash and neater materials.

Excellent unbiased review. The amount of Flash seems excessive and it did not appear to me to be that easy to remove especially with the mortar figure. You didn't state the msrp so the real comparison would be the price point differential between this set and a set in metal and or hard plastic. I'm assuming this set would be less expensive than purchasing the same amount of figures in metal so that would be a consideration for those on a more restricted budget. With a softer composition there is always the problem of removing too much material and damaging the figure. New technology / casting is always a good thing for the hobby and I hope PSC continue to refine the process and cut down on the excess Flashing.

It seems to me that we’re going backwards. Battlefront, and now PSC with this soft plastic business that always comes with bent parts and is covered in flash. Hard plastic and metal are far superior.

It seems with this Ultracast stuff is that these models would not be economically viable in hard plastic. Not a fan of it myself.

Think we are being gentle. The new softer plastics look pretty bad tbh. Literally only good thing about them is they're a little less likely to break, that's it. But reducing the quality and now more cleanup time for everyone else who don't need dum dum soft plastic safety versions is a step in the wrong direction.
