I'm surprised no one mentioned anything about the iron cross. Its actually a several hundert years old military symbol. First used by Prussia, later by the first German empire. After ww1 it wasn't used but reintroduced by Hitler in 1939. After ww2 in 1956 it became the official symbol for the bundeswehr. It is on all german military vehicles and the logo for the army. In 2008 it became once again the honor medal for exceptional service. It's called the "ehrenkreuz" wich means honor cross. It's the same symbol but with the German eagle in the middle. So to recap, it is NOT a nazi symbol. It's a German symbol used by the nazi's for the duration of the war. Nowadays it's the official symbol for all German military branches and even the honor medal. Nazi history is german history, but german history is not just nazi history. Just because something got used by them, doesn't mean its forever theirs. In some cases that's true but not in all.

That armor is soooo bad. He thinks 500€ is expensive for armor when in reality full plate will cost you 5k minimum, good quality around 10k and if you want to get fancy ice seen upwards of 20k+ on some English and Gothic late 15th century armors and renaissance armors. His Indian made tin crap is oversized and can't even function like armor.

@@imslamming what do you mean? That's not the point of having a harness. Having a harness is a self fulfilling goal for reenactors, you can show it off and look awesome doing it. You can go at living history events, teach people stuff about history, and most importantly, fight on foot in armor (Harnischfechten) or practice jousting. Ww1 reenactors don't buy bayoneted rifle for self defense.

The Iron Cross isn't really connected to Nazi Germany, even modern Germany still uses it to symbolize the Bundeswehr and you should know how modern Germany is with anything that is even tangentially related to the Nazis. Though Mogul moves is a pretty good replacement lmao. (Also pretty sure it’s not even an Iron Cross, it’s a Cross Pattée which has literally nothing to do with the Nazis beside for them appropriating it, if you’re that concerned about the symbolism of the armor you should probably read about the shady kinds of the things the Teutons did)

Number of rotations are a different thing compared to rotating a little bit. You could easily use the same logic to say about revolutions. To revolve does not neccessary mean 360 degrees of revolution. One revolution is always a full revolution just like one rotation.

13:45 Ludwig, the Templar cross was used for hundreds of years before it was used by Germany and even in Germany the Iron Cross was used, like you said, *before* nazi Germany, for example by Prussia and by Germany during WW1, it's still the symbol of the German army (in a slightly modified form) so even they don't think it's bad to use it
