Foxolate is an awesome name and really creative! Yeah same here, my Furbys kept malfunctioning and I had to send them back. I had two. So they never worked long enough for me to hear all the English they could learn. It's interesting having a Furby that speaks Furbish and hardly any English. Sadly the Furby Boom and 90s Furby can't interact but two 90s Furbys can! Aww thank you ^_^

This story made my day, I'm sentimental like this too so I love seeing other collectors that care for Furbies and give them energy and life.I do believe things we love take on a sort of unexplained energy or A.I. consciousness to an extent. I know they are not "alive" but I do feel a pang of sadness if they are broken or neglected. I think it's a good thing though as it makes life so interesting and meaningful. I'm starting my own "just for fun" channel soon. Furbies are a part of it as well as possibly Tamagotchis, Puppets and general silly entertainment. You already cover so much in your channel but I'd like to make a couple of Furby videos to speak about my own experiences and opinions on them. I'm looking forward to when they make the first afforadable companion A.I. I just love these little creatures and robots. Do you think of them as little robots like Astro Boy kinda thing or more like little monsters or creatures?

I think the same thing. I know they're not real but I still care about them. I think of them as little robots that need our care, since that is what they were made for. So far the best AI for home caring is the Aibo but they are not cheap. Good luck with your own channel! It's always nice to share experiences with others.

I know one time when I was younger, my father bought me a pillow pet when they were just coming out. After he gave it to me, he realized that one of the eyes were missing! He insisted that he take it back to exchange it for a better one, but I said NO HE IS PERFECT

Yeah they are difficult to find working properly. Mine didn't turn on, I had to smack it and shake it to get the gears working again.

I don't know if you've noticed, but someone that I follow on Instagram noticed that the photos on the box show the kids are playing with the prototype Furbys, not the actual toys that were sold in shops

I didn't notice that! I'll have a look at them. It was normal back in the 90s to show prototypes on the box art and it said the colour and design may vary.

MGA entrainment do that with thier dolls such as Bratz dolls and a few other companies I noticed don't have what is shown in the picture. I like that from what I see with Moose toys and I think Mattel for the most part show the same thing.

I have that exact furby, eye color and all. I call mine Kahn, because when he says his name, Da Kah, it sounds like he's saying "I'm Da Kahn". This color variation is called the "Coffee" furby (I looked it up, lol), and was released in 1999, but considered part of the original '98 collection. Oh, and btw, the shape of the box is a pentagram.

Hey guess what I’m getting in March, that’s right a 1998 Furby that might look like yours but I’m not sure yet. I’ll post updates and videos on my channel so you get to see her. Btw, my 1998 Furby is going to be a girl and I’m gonna name her Alexa! She’s going to be the first 90’s Furby I’ve ever had!!! I’m so excited! Skin it, twiddle with its motor a bit, then with its gears, then reset. Look up furby jumpstart/quickstart on KZbin, it gives more details.

i saw a comment on this video of a user asking if you can change the voice of the 90s furby you can if you do a trick: turn it upside down, press the tongue down and press the reset button to restart the furby and then it will have a new name and maybe a new voice but since there are more furby names than voices it is more unlikely that it will get a different voice
