Glad you have a supportive husband who is also interested /involved in your interests. 1st husband was okay with my "hobbies" as long as all bills /needs/etc. were paid 1st. We both worked; he was in the Air Force & I was a cocktail waitress on base, plus I did refunding / couponing ( averaged $300 a month in refunds/free food coupons/money off on groceries). I would buy XL & up adult clothes to make kids clothes or redesign for me. Had it good with him in that way. 2nd hubby had ALMOST the same rule. Bills/needs first. After that , every dollar I spent on my "things" he got to spend 2. He had zero interest in my stuff. As long as he was happy & I stayed busy, all was fine in his world.
