Green and Brown combo is fine. The big no is the black shoes, black belt and brown strap or viceversa. I also love grained shoes and the way they look with both semi-formal and informal attire

I completely agree with you regarding the strap combo thing. If you’re going to match your leather, you have to go all the way, it can’t be 2 out of 3.

I think that nonchalance is the best elegance. If you are a one watch guy, I don't find it super necessary to match the leather strap perfectly to the shoes. Imagine having to swap you strap every day. I think tis may give kind of a natural vibe to the outfit

I think to each their own, truly. I believe in matching your leathers, so belt (if you wear one), straps, shoes but everyone is free to do whatever they want. But like the OP said, it does look bad to my eyes if the shoes and belt match but the strap doesn’t. Still, to each their own.

Awesome shoes, Vladimir. We must be on the same wavelength. I have some willow grain adelaides arriving from C&J in the next couple of weeks. They have rubber city soles, and I expect them to be pretty versatile year-round with textured outfits and inclement weather. Keep up the great videos.

It’s more of a necessity as the tip of the sole is the first part to go. It’s caused by the way I walk, so that saves me having to resole the shoes prematurely.

Thanks for the compliment, my friend. In my experience, the gold paint usually comes off. As far as the flat laces, if my shoes don’t come with them, I get them from Kirby Allison’s store and they do carry different lengths. Check them out here: bit.ly/3t1y6pr

How’s the instep on these versus TLB Artista or Enzo Bonafé? On TLB I had to go up in width AND request modified instep. Enzo Bonafé has quite high instep as default, but still too low for me.

I wear suede all year around. They’re especially useful in the Spring when it rains more because you don’t have to worry about damaging the leather once you treat it with waterproof spray prior to wearing it.

Thanks, fam! In my case, they were true to size and they fit me great. I told them some of the lasts that I have and they were able to figure it out from there. The good thing is they’re extremely knowledgeable about fit, so I’m sure that they’ll be able to guide you.

Hi Vladimir, is it still wroth it to buy lasted shoes trees for dress, even if you have flat feet? In my experience, sometimes shoe trees can cause gaps/stretches in shoes

I’ve never experienced that and have lasted shoe trees for all my shoes that have them available. That’s odd because I’ve never heard that before. Can you give me an example of a pair that you’ve had that issue with?

@@v_r_ure, I have regular shoe trees but not the lasted version, I noticed overtime on a pair of meermin oxfords and a pair of Carlos santos oxfords a v shape gap similar to what you showed on your how should a shoe fit video, I wonder if that due to the last of the shoes I purchased or the shoe trees increasing the gap

Ah, I see what you mean. I’m sure if the trees are a bad fit and are bigger than the shoes, they can definitely deform it in some way. Hence why I always recommend the lasted shoe trees if they’re available.
