Do you need to pit oil in before starting and if so is there a dip stick

Hello Rob, you do need to put oil into the machine (600ml) and there is a dipstick.

I have just brought this machine. I have 2 quick questions, what is the black cover over the spring at the top of the pump and do I remove the black cover? 2nd question, on my old version there was a red breather plug I had to put in the pump... I can't see it on this build? Many thanks

The spring over the clear pipe on top of the pump is just to protect the chemical hose from getting bent (do not need to remove). This pressure washer features our new updated pump that does not require a breather plug.
